And, that is what the rules technically say...
"if a player rejects a contract extension, he becomes a FA".

It's not even an argument, he declined to resign with the Warriors and was entering the free agent waters. The resigning period is basically over, we are waiting on OKC to update everything.

UNTIL IT STARTS GS HAS HIS RIGHTS. GS TRADED ME HIS RIGHTS, WHICH ALLOWS ME THE OPPURTUNITY TO COME TO TERMS ON A DEAL IS A SIGN AND TRADE.

Where does it say that? It's been going on for a month and Rashard was already rejected...I don't see how anyone ever becomes a FA.

OKC has said it many times and it is posted under the off season schedule, and they become a FA when FA starts.

I also think OKC should make the final call on this matter...
I tend to agree w Boston though, until free agency actually starts Rahard is still property of GSW.

Just to make this simple. When Lewis declined his player option, he was still able to negotiate a long-term deal with him, because he owned his rights. Just because Lewis turned down his extension, doesn't mean that GS looses his rights. It only means he won't return to GS. They still have the ability to trade his rights to another team and allow them the opportunity to come to a deal with him. All this trade does, is give me the right to negotiate with him and his agent. The only time GS looses the rights to Lewis is when free agency begins.

Lewis decided to NOT play with the Warriors by declining his option, or at least not for the contract he had. Then Lewis decided to NOT play with the Warriors AGAIN by declining the extension. Once the extension has been declined, he enters free agency. It's that simple, at least according to the rules I've read and remember. And that statement actually means that GS DOES lose his rights once the extension is rejected. "Becoming a Free Agent" means no one owns your rights anymore.

LOL. Your not even listening. Golden State still holds his RIGHTS. They have every chance to trade his RIGHTS and get something for him. You can't become a free agent until free agency starts.

Even if you are right Rashard Lewis has the RIGHT to decline any offer by the Warriors. Whose the PA? I will decline any offer GS makes if it's me, simply because he can pick where he plays if he stays put. I don't know your cap situation but you could still get him even if the trade doesn't happen.

Conflict of interest homie. You have cap room. This trade would send him to a great team and give him the money he is looking for. And actually gives me a little something for him.

I have asked OKC to be the player agent here as he has not been involved in the discussion. The offer is from me not GSW. PS. No I couldn't get him in free agency, wouldn't have the cap to offer what I did. 15 mil a season to play on a team with Durant and Amare. I don't see anything that could be better in free agency to be honest.

I had a conflict of interest the first time, this time there is no conflict of interest. I'm willing to help my client (Mr. Lewis) out by allowing him to become a FA. He will be the premier of this class and everyone knows it.
As for what Boston said, you have two players right now. He's a similar player to Durant, and NONE of your players but Battier play any defense. Does he even like playing the 4? That's where you would have to put him. Since I know my team the best, I know Stuckey/AI/Shard/Milsap/D12 sounds a heck of a lot better to me than Brooks/Durant/Battier/Shard/Amare.
