There is no deciding. They want to cut salary. Why would they add Baron and Kaman's awful contracts? Sarvar doesn't want to pay the luxury tax, hes already stated this.

In any deal the Suns make they are going to want to cut payroll. In a deal for Amare they want a young forward (someone still on their rookie contract most likely) an expiring contract and a pick. To me a deal with Chicago and Portland would seem to make the most sense of the rumored teams so far, with Memphis maybe being a dark horse.

Beasley makes the most sense to me, but I don't think ANY of it makes sense.

MEM just chickened out of trade.
alleged deal was Conley (washed up) , Warrick (who's okay), and Gay (a stud.) for Amare.

Tyson Chandler traded to OKC for Joe Smith, Chris Wilcox, & DeVon Hardin (Draft Rights) sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3913301Salary dump for the Hornets as their owner did not want to go over the tax threshold. It wasnt going to be CP3 or West. so Chandler was the likely to go.

yeah good move for the thunder.... likely to move the hornets down the ranks in the teams of the west... good for my mavs.
just wish the mavs would make a move, but rumors are the biggest move we are going to make is for someone like earl watson, john salmons, or beno udrih

Agreed. Its a great move for OKC. If they do end up with the number 1 pick somehow and take Blake Griffin. A lineup of;
PG - Westbrook SG - Durant SF - Green PF - Griffin C - Chandler
SCARY GOOD

I think this is by far the dumbest comment I have ever read (it's on the potential 3 way with CHI-PHX-TOR)
"Maybe if it was Hughes instead of Gooden - Drew's expiring deal is too valuable.
But in general, trading Tyrus is a HORRIBLE idea. He is an absolute weapon. I get the fact that the Bulls will have to give something of value to get something in return. Stoudemire and Bosh are available because they are overrated, while Tyrus is underrated. Tyrus has upside; Phoenix and Toronto have seen the best Bosh and Stoudemire could do and have decided to move on. What does that tell you?"
I'm a Bulls fan and would love it if we could get Bosh or Amare without giving up TT but if you can get either then it's a deal that MUST be done.

Tyrus Thomas IS NO WAY UNDERRATED, he has all the tools in the world but a IQ OF A PEANUT. he's already a bigger bust then Stromile Swift ever was (who ALSO CAME OUT OF LSU and had the same RAVE is Ty Thomas), he's a bigger bust then his teammate Joakim Noah (atleast Noah has IQ to add with the energy and defense at times.) IF ANYTHING this is the ONE AND ONLY trade CHI should do Larry Hughes and Drew Gooden for Stephon Marbury and then cut Marbury yeah you lose Gooden but you also get rid of the cancer in Hughes and have money for next year to re-sign Gordon with since your idiot owner Jerry Reinsdorf gets scared of the luxury tax (IN BOTH BASKETBALL AND BASEBALL.)

I thought about this PHX trade for a while and I kinda like it.
PHX trades: Shaq, Nash, Gorgan Dragic or Matt Barnes PHX receives: Stephon Marbury, Chris Duhon, Marcus Camby
NYK trades: Marbury, Duhon, M. Rose NYK receives: Shaq, Nash
LAC trades: Camby LAC receives: M. Rose and Gorgan Dragic
you could remove the CLIPPERS from this, and just make it Shaq and Nash for Marbury, Rose, and Duhon.
PHX gets INSTANT cap space and NYK becomes a contender this year AND NEXT YEAR w/o harming their 2010 plan for LBJ.

I don't know about Tyrus' potential, I don't watch the Bulls that much. I'm sure different people have different opinions of him, I saw him play a game or two in college and I thought he was a skinny Ben Wallace. The comparison to Marion was bogus, he had NO SKILL...I think at best he'll be a good dirty work guy. If he could develop his perimeter D to outstanding, I could see him as a great perimeter defender/off side shot blocker/rebound type guy no one has ever seen before. I think whither he is a bust or not you HAVE to go get Amare or Bosh (I think Amare is just a little better fit, though I like Amare more...just preference.) I don't think either is happening and it's all bogus to sell news.
As for LAL's trade, why would Phoenix do this? I don't understand they aren't THAT bad, any knuckle head that watches them can see they are poorly coach. They have NO identity what so ever, and if you are going to try to feature Shaq in the post with the weapons you have you are a retard. "This is 2008, not 1999" Shaq's post game is almost gone, but he can still be a DOMINATING defense and rebound type guy. Last year against the Spurs in the finals he totally took Duncan out of his game, they didn't even try to post him (Parker was on fire) but still Shaq dominated Duncan. With this new coach hopefully they will either trade Shaq for Odom and run n gun again, OR A. Nash and Amare will devote themselves to Defense B. Shaq understands his role as a post defense/rebounding type guy C. they TRY to run (using Shaq to rebound then ignite the break) but in the half court go to Amare OR run pick and rolls like they use to.
I guess there is a chance Amare doesn't have any kind of post game. If so they you better run run run and pick and roll in the half court, because it wears Shaq down to have to be the man now. Everyone on this board that knows me knows I love Shaq, but he just isn't a great scorer like he once was imo. I still think Phoenix could get it together, but they are going to have to buckle down or trade Shaq (or even Nash and become a total half court team?) Trading Amare solves NOTHING, in my opinion.

LAL do you watch basketball? Everytime you post, I lose more and more respect for you. Bigger bust than Stromile Swift? LOL. According to who? You? Gimme a break.....
If you dont watch Tyrus play consistently, you wont know that he has been really good the last month or so. Averaging 15 & 10 in the span. He has an improving 15 ft jumper and is in the top 3% of the league in athleticism. He is more than a garbage man. He was the defacto #2 overall pick. The bulls wouldn't have traded Aldridge for him if they thought he wasn't ever going to hone his skill set. With consistent minutes now, most Bulls fans are actually warming up to TT and are happy we made the Aldridge-TT swap. Time will tell on who got the better end of that trade.
