I don't think Amare is going anywhere, I think Kerr will get fired before Amare leaves. Shaq to LA for Odom and Sasha...I'm calling it now!

NO WAY IN HELL, the Lakers trade for Shaq after what Odom did for the Lakers againist CLE and in this road trip (6-0)
if anything it would be Odom and Walton (Vujacic is too important for team) for Shaq.
and hopefully in that same process they get rid of the piece of trash in Morrison, trade him to NY for Malik Rose or something.

Suns be wanting Hinrich for AmareAs for the Blazers, I'm not really thrilled about what KP will do. He's not really an in-season trading type of GM. Last year, he traded Taurean Green for Von Wafer. Raef LaFrentz's expiring is gaining value by the day though, so he might hit the jackpot.

Their owner is the guy that goes to McDonalds on the first date. Except he's been trading away picks for cash for years, so maybe a week's worth of dates? He's cheap.

Their owner is the guy that goes to McDonalds on the first date. Except he's been trading away picks for cash for years, so maybe a week's worth of dates? He's cheap. It's funny when people call millionaires cheap. Sarver could buy a McDonalds, you have to ask your parents for money to get lunch. As far as it being dumb to trade Amare, I don't totally agree. Amare has been in the league for awhile now and he pretty much is what he is. That being a great offensive player, who pays no attention to rebounding or defense. It is hard to win in the playoffs with a PF like that. That is why the Suns can't get past a team like SA. Obviously an Amare deal isn't ideal, but he is going to want max money in a contract extension, being that he plays no defense, and is a terrible rebounder he isn't worth max money. So why not put him on the trade block and see what kind of offers you get.

If Sarver weren't cheap, he wouldn't have to sell off draft picks for cash. I mean, he's traded away the likes of Luol Deng, Rajon Rondo, and Rudy Fernandez, just for money-saving purposes. That's not how you build an NBA deal. If I were Phoenix, I wouldn't trade Amare unless I got a great package, not the ones he's getting now. If they're going to trade Amare, I'd milk more out of teams, instead of the role-player talent they'd be getting back.
EDIT: Well, some of the offers out there are close to being worth it, but Phoenix still shouldn't take them. Amare's worth more.

It wasn't Sarver being cheap. The Suns trading away their draft picks had as much to do with Mike D, as it did Sarver wanting to save money. Mike D was on record several times saying that with the Suns roster constructed the way it was, he is trying to win championships, not develop rookies. That short term view is just one of the things that made him a bad GM. But as an owner why pay a rookie double the money (luxury tax) when he isn't going to play, and is just going to sit on the end of the bench. I don't blame Sarver for that, and I certainly wouldn't call him cheap. With Mike D out as coach/GM and Kerr in at GM, and a coach willing to play and develop young players in Porter, the Suns used both of their 1st and 2nd round draft choices. As a matter of fact they over paid to get Dragic here from his Spanish team I believe it was. If Sarver was cheap he wouldn't have paid that kind of money for a 2nd round draft choice.

the Suns gotta decide 2 things
EITHER GO FOR THE FINAL BLOW OR REBUILD.
they can't play around thinking hmm, Amare or Shaq.
it's either you rebuild or you go for the WIN.
I say GO for the WIN, it's obvious Amare wants to be the MAN and isn't interested in staying in PHX if he does not get that wish, then why not trade him for a veteran player.
and with Nash you got this season and next season then you can re-build again.
I say Amare and Barbosa for Baron Davis and Chris Kaman.
with a starting 5 of
Nash-Davis-Richardson-Kaman-Shaq they can easily win a championchip this year
and Hill can be 6th man on team.
or you trade J-Rich in another trade and say hello to former Sun SHAWN MARION.
and scurbs for Marion.
