I do agree with a lot of what Charlotte says but I want to point two things out:
1: Honestly most foreigners don't hate the US as in "you" specifically they don't like our governmet, and that goes for both Democrats and Republicans. They only care about Obama because he's the first black president if he wasn't he'd be another stupid US politician.
2: This is a list of the top ten places the US imports it's natural oil from; 1. Canada 2. Mexico 3. Saudi Arabia 4. Venezuela 5. Nigeria 6. Angola 7. Iraq 8. Algeria 9. United Kingdom 10. Brazil
The fact that we are at war with Iraq does not lower (and I can't say raise) our gas prices, plus it went up more then it has ever been (up to over $4 a gal. in some places) and we are still their

It cripples the US and they have us by our nuts until we drill, those other countries can't make enough oil to support us.

Iraq is not related to 9/11 at all. I support the war on Al Qaeda in Afghanistan. What i dont support is the policing of the world. Legitamate use of violence can only be that which is required in self defense. And I am a firm believer that setting a good example is a better way to spread ideals than through military force. Look, its great to help people out; Saddam was a bad guy i'm not denying that. But there's plenty of bad people out there.
What's interesting is that your own Republican party benefited from a non-interventionist foreign policy throughout the 20th century. Look at Eisenhower and the Korean War. The only reason Nixon got elected was to stop the mess in Vietnam. It's just interesting how you with conservative ideals justify being in Iraq. It's a mess, as you said "You can't negotiate with Islamic Radicals, plain and simple." So why are we over there fighting a pointless war?
And if what Obama's planning on doing by negotiating with North Korea and Iran is not substantial, why did everyone else, including your own Clinton, go up in arms?
The majority of the world wouldn't hate Americans if there wasn't people like you, who twist the image of being patriotic into bombing the middle east. What you would call Islamic radicals are a very small percentage of the Arab world. And the religion of Islam isn't the worst thing in the world either. The Qu'ran doesn't advocate violence, but these radicals have twisted jihad into something it's not meant to be.
And why does his middle name "Hussein" matter? It's not a Muslim name. Please note that Muslims are people who believes in the Islamic religion. It's not a Muslim name, it's an Arabic name. Very big distinction there. Though some might think it's bad because Saddam Hussein shared the name, condemning Obama for that would be analogous to putting down Joseph Lieberman because Stalin killed millions of people! Namely, ridiculous.
I'm not against offshore drilling for enviormental reasons, just because economically there are far better options. Believe me we can go back and forth on offshore drilling with statistics, but the point is even if somehow there was enough oil there, it would take way too long to see a difference in oil prices. The real problem is your trying to feed an addiction. Drilling offshore is like trying to fix a crack addiction by just trying to make your own. Theres nothing bad about Alternative Energy, and the earlier we commit to financing and backing Alternative forms of energy, the better off our economic situation will be.
And you are straight up ignorant to believe that Iraq is the reason why gas is under 2 bucks a gallon now. The reason why prices have dropped is that collectively the US have drastically changed their driving habits over the past couple months. And with the GLOBAL as well as our own struggling economy, the world is using less and less oil. It's basic supply and demand.
But, your ignorance and utter stupidity on the reason why gas is the way it is, it still proves my point that in the world's eyes, Americans are fat lazy gas guzzling bastards who don't care about any one else, just about satisfying their needs.

You must have been asleep during President Bush's speech after 9/11. This is a war with no borders, and different kind of war. Those terrorist had no more relation to Afghanistan than Iraq or any other 3rd world Muslim country in that area. Saddam helped the terrorist, maybe not as much as Bid Laden but don't think he didn't chip in some money. It's ridiculous to say it is different, it's all part of the War on Terror. It's only different because your best friend the news wants it to be.
Like I said any war will be perceived in America by causalities. If we had played Defense and had a good strategy in Vietnam it could have worked. The Johnson administration bobbled the snap so to speak and lost public opinion (much like Bush did, and had he listened to Mccain wouldn't have) but to a much more extreme degree.
It's not a mess, a great American has made it a manageable situation. That man was turned down by the American people to be commander and chief over Barack Obama who has no experience. Mccain IS who we need leading the War on Terror. Mccain has his short comings, ran a crappy campaign, I would have probably voted for Hillary over him, but the man can run a war.
To answer your question the reason we can't negotiate with them is the reason why we have to fight them. Better to engage them on there land than ours, though I would rather see us bomb the f**k out of them personally.
That makes no sense to me, but let me say a few things.
#1 Clinton is NOT mine, I don't know where you get that from?
#2 People have tried to negotiate with those "Arab" Nations for years over the Israel/Palestine conflict. How is Obama just all of a sudden going to get them to come to terms? He's either going to do something stupid (get rid of SDI or quit allying or agree to help take Israel die) or will be as unsuccessful as past people.
And so says the liberal media, MOST Muslim government (Which btw "Alah" means God in Arabic) according to our government is helping terrorism. Now being patriotic is loving your country and I believe when my president tells me something unlike you.
Name means a lot to a Muslim, can you tell me who Ferdinand Lewis Alcindor, Jr? You probably know him as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, the great center for the Lakers and Bucks. So tell me why does the name not matter since Jabar changed his when he turned Muslim? If Barack is such a Christian man (that he claims) why don't he change his name to something more normal? Also don't forget James Danforth Quayle who scorned by Democrats for his name sounding to richy? I mean get a clue names matter.
I answered this above, Republicans are superior in the fact they want to drill AND they want other forms of energy more than Democrats.
So because Barack told people to air up there tires is why gas prices are down? Common man, the majority of gas used is by big corporations who didn't count down, and if they did it cost people jobs. That's what is wrong with your "cut down" theory is it will cost people jobs, but nice try.
Like I said I agree with developing alternative fuels, but that is what is going to take too long. We know how to drill, and that is a very good analogy there, the world is dependent on oil and when you realize that maybe then you can start understand things a little better.
You know want to know the truth about alternative fuels? Other countries can use NUCLEAR POWER for energy, but your party won't let us do it for environmental reasons.
Obviously we are perceived as "rich and lazy" because they live in tents and ride horses. The other countries who are civilized (some are represented in this sim league) don't really give a f**k one way or the other.
So my question to you is, do you want to ride horses, praise Alah, and wear towls on your head? Or do you want to put a stop to this shit?

There is no need to act arrogant about it. Just make your point and be done with it. No need to act like an ass and put people down. I don't mean to rude, just saying it isn't really necessary. Different people have different opinions and views, you have to respect that, even if you disagree.

The War on Terror and the War in Iraq are two seperate things. Your generalization of arabic countries as all the same are again whats wrong with America.
And i didn't say Barack had anything to do with the gas prices. I said that Iraq had nothing to do with it. And of course we're going to lose jobs. We're in a f**king recession for christ sakes.
And for the record, i am not a democrat. I supported Ron Paul at one point, and he's as republican as they come, you should really take a look at him, he's the way texans should be.
Your views on war and foreign policy are just completely different than mine. Your not making me look bad, your just making yourself look like the stereotypical big texas "patriot" American to these other international gm's.
p.s. - Barack Huessein Obama should be allowed to keep his name. He shouldn't be cut down by the borderline racist bigotry you are showing. He is a christian, and the myth of Islam came from the conservatives as a last cry to unveil something that wasn't there. The same with Reverend Wright, and Bill Ayers. And for the record, his middle name comes from his father, who was Kenyan, not Arabic or Islamic.

I honestly believe that most of them dislike us, but don't care enough to do terrorism. When they get paid then they care enough (like what Saddam was doing) and have there kids go blow themselves up.
So like you said, not all are terrorist but most hate us. If they hate us why should I care if they get killed on accident? The terrorist kill them on purpose to make it look like we killed them so the news will report high loses of Iraqi (or whatever) life. I understand what you are saying, but I would rather have American lives safe than Iraq, just my opinion. I think the ONE THING that Bush did that was good (if he did nothing else right) was make us safer. Al Quead is hurting right now, and that's one of many terrorist groups down.
THEY ATTACKED US, on 9/11 (or even before that in 93) they did this shit to us and their leader helped. In my mind they attacked, and I'm sorry if some good people killed but it happens. If it meant me dying to end this shit I would gladly give my life so my country could be safe. Which leads me to my next point and I'm dead serious about this, if Obama leaves Israel hanging or turns on them I will join the Israel Army.
As far as there jobs and homes, they live in shit (other than the fat cats that Sadam hand picked) and they were pretty much slaves. I don't know what it's like over there now, but I do know that it can't be any worse than it was. Being oppressed is one of the worst things in the world, and WE ARE NOT OPPRESSING THEM all we are doing is policing Iraq. Which I disagree with, but we are stuck there now.
Well I'm glad SOMEONE liberal see that Obama is a nut, but please explain to me why Obama is better than Mccain? Mccain is more qualified in every way you could imagine, and personally Mccain would be my last pick of all the Republicans (besides nut ass Ron Paul if you want to count him) to be president. I don't think he's real bright, but the one thing I like about him is he's a good guy and knows how to run a war (Surge in Iraq.) As Commander-in-Chief that is important, and Bush miss managed it.
I'm trying to respect your opinion, and if it was anyone but Obama I could but do you not see what this guy believes in? I mean he just lies to the American People, Has ties with tons of bad guys, JEREMIAH WRIGHT WAS HIS PASTOR, and I'm not sure 100% where you stand, but his issues are a lot different than mine. I'm not talking about abortion or gay marriage, that's strictly a morale issue in my mind and I can see the other side of that (espeically abortion.) To understand (and since we are talking about) I'd like to know why you think Mccain is such a "dumb ass?"

And NO you can't justify rushing into a war with no plain especially when it is costing a Nation that is in a rescission $10 billion a month. And I'm tired of hearing this overwhelming support for Israel, the only claim they have to the land their fighting over is from a religious text (the same as the Muslims) which is unprovable so it should have no merit.

It will cost us more in oil prices if we leave, that simple. Very few (including Obama, how the hell do we know he wasn't even a Senator?) were against it to start off. I think Obama's ties make him MUCH MORE of a dumb ass than Mccain, who was always for "The Surge" (which would have saved us a lot of money had we just done it in the first place.)

Wow. The oil prices have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with Iraq.
In a recession, less people can afford to go places. Less companies can afford to buy more oil. It's called the economy. And the basic rule of economics is supply and demand. The more people need oil, the more oil companies charge for oil. The less people need oil, the less oil companies charge for oil. The drop in oil prices is just maybe the one benefit we have from being in a global recession.
I mean, come on, how ignorant can one guy get?

The drop in oil prices is just maybe the one benefit we have from being in a global recession. I mean, come on, how ignorant can one guy get? You are right it is supply and demand, due to the fact that Arab/Muslim Countries (Iraq, Iran, Saudi, and SOME of the little ones around Saudi, Kuwait is in there) and Russia countries control a majority of the world's oil supply. OPEC likes to give the US a certain amount, so it makes our prices go up and they still get good money (it's so much per Barrel.) You are ignorant if you think we cut down by "airing our tires up." Big business, farmers, stuff like that run on gas, they need gas to be able to perform. We can't "cut back" enough to make a huge difference, we need a certain amount of oil. Here is a telling stat, the one CHI gave. 2: This is a list of the top ten places the US imports it's natural oil from; 1. Canada 2. Mexico 3. Saudi Arabia 4. Venezuela 5. Nigeria 6. Angola 7. Iraq 8. Algeria 9. United Kingdom 10. Brazil Look at #1, #2, #3, and #7 #1: Canada: CANADA IS JUST LIKE ALASKA as far as terrain. They have plenty of oil (obviously if there our #1 import) let's go get some of our own. #2 Mexico: For heaven sakes why don't we just annex Mexico? I know I know we'd be taken there freedom, but hell they want to come over to the U.S. anyways so it would solve our border problem (it would all the part of the U.S.) We could send in the board patrol and some of the army to police the area for a while, and that would help with drugs, and we could drill in Mexico which would help our natural resource problem. #3 Saudi: It's a good thing the Saudi royalty isn't retarded like the rest of the Middle East, or we would be in trouble. You have to give Saudi props, they have the latest tech on oil refining and don't try to squeeze us for oil so much. #7 Iraq: When they were destroying there pipe lines after we took Iraq over, don't you think IT HURT NOT HAVING THE #7 IMPORTER BEING TO GIVE US MUCH OIL!?!?! Just give it time and it will #1, this the good that will come out of policing Iraq. If we had listened to John Mccain sooner with the surge, it would already be. Question, why isn't Iran on this list? Because they want us to not have oil so we can't use all our high tech stuff and they have a chance against us. Scary stuff if you ask me.
