Miller, Maybin and 4 prospects for Cabrera and Willis.
I wonder if Rick Porcello is involved in the deal.

I am really looking foward to the start of baseball season now. After watching the Tigers suck for so many years, it will be fun to watch this team play.

Tigers the best team? CF - Ellsbury 2B - Pedroia DH - Ortiz LF - Ramirez 3B - Lowell RF - Drew 1B - Youkilis C - V-Tek SS - Lugo Projected pitching rotation: Beckett Dice-K Schilling Lester Wakefield/Buchholz (A trade with the Twins for Johan Santana is imminent..So you can replace Lester with Johan, and have a 1-2-3-4 of Santana-Beckett-Dice K-Schilling) Best team is clearly the Sox. [/endthread]

Wow, NYK GM is a Boston fan.
The Sox pitching staff is killer, but they really don't have a power threat anymore. Ortiz and Manny are growing old and get injured a lot. If they can't keep scoring with base hits and speed, I don't think they'll make the World Series again. IMO I don't think they'll win it again until their youth grows.

I don't really see that being the case, considering Ortiz and Manny showed what they can still do in the post season. Ortiz was hurt all year with a nagging injury, and Manny is still one of the best pure hitters in the game. I expect each to still hit 30+ homers this season. Tack on an improved JD Drew, Julio Lugo, and an Ellsbury for a full season, and I like our chances.

I still like the Indians and a healthy Yankee team more than the Tigers..Like I mentioned in the chat box. I'm going to wait to see them on the field before I judge them...And there's no chance their pitching will be able to hold up against the tough AL lineups for a full season. They'll have to out-slug everyone, and I just don't see it happening. Outside of Verlander, you have a LOT of question marks. Theres no question that the offense can be explosive, though.

I guess it would be okay if you backed up your argument with fact, but you didn't really come close to doing that.

the bottom 4 of your lineup is very funny we dont have a weak spot in the order
like i said let the teams do the talking
i think someone is a little nervous that there is finally a team that will contend with the sox yeah NY did but still u guys took care of them
everyone seems to bash rogers to when schilling is pretty much the same

I have to agree. The Tigers are the front runners as of now. We'll have to wait and see what happens with Bay, Rolen, Bonds (if he plays next year), Santana, and Haren. No matter what happens from here on out it will be a crazy postseaon. Willis vs. Ortiz/Manny or Beckett vs. Cabrera. It will be sick.

Unless the A.L. changes him, he'll still be a sub-.500 pitcher IMO.
