New York Sends:
-(72) Smush Parker -- 3,000,000 -- 3,000,000 -- 3,000,000 -- 3,000,000 (Red = Option)
New York Receives:
-(71) Maurice Evans -- 1,500,000

Detroit Sends:
-(71) Maurice Evans -- 1,500,000
Detroit Receives:
-(72) Smush Parker -- 3,000,000 -- 3,000,000 -- 3,000,000 -- 3,000,000 (Red = Option)

I Accept. I get rid of Smush so I don't have to deal with him in the future, while freeing up cap space and opening up the PG spot for Farmar and hopefully someone I get through the draft or free agency next season, making Farmar a good backup.

No, it doesn't. $1,500,000 * 1.25 = $1,875,000.
So the contract you take can at most $1,875,000.

It would be really complicated to keep up with IMO, so I don't think we have that.

Cash? We were?
I havent allowed anyone to trade cash. I have allowed people to pay for parts of contracts. So in this case I would allow Detroit to pay for some of Smushs contract to make the trade work...

Accept. NY clears up about 2mil in expirings as he is rebuilding. Detroit gets a veteren PG for his team which is contending.
NY, once the trade goes through, you have to keep $300k of Smush's contract on your cap.
