this trade isnt that unfair considering the huge salary and the age of Shaq...but I dont it to be accepted cuz lakers would be the most dominating and effective team in the league

Shaquille O'Neal PPG 21.1 RPG 10.1 APG 3.2 SPG 1.21 BPG 1.76
Andrew Bynum PPG 12.6 RPG 8.4 APG 0.6 SPG 0.71 BPG 1.67
IS THAT EVEN COMPARABLE? Shaq did 9 points better, 2 rebounds better, 3 assists better than Bynum, now I know there are other people in the deal, trust me, i wont forget Jordan Farmars contribution off the bench last season
Farmar PPG 0.9 RPG 0.3 APG 0.6 SPG 0.11
Now honestly.....is that going to be an impact on any team next season? absolutely not!
Smush is a different story....he did pretty decent last year for the lakers while starting all 82 games.....but Mo Williams rating is only gonna go up and he is gonna get all the starts in New York over Smush
So in reality....New York thinks he is helping himself, but a franchise player can not be traded for this.....a franchise player in my opinion always needs to be traded either for another franchise player....or atleast two starting players in return
For all of those who have a lot of experience in sim leagues, you all know shaq will always drop 20 and 10 regardless of his age, I think this move will be franchise threatening, New York was only one game out of winning his division last year......and didnt even make the playoffs....now honestly, trading the best rated player on ur team for one starter who is rated a 71......is that gonna get u into the playoffs? he is taking a step back, not forward!

Yet you fail to mention that I get a LOT of cap space, and a first round draft pick in return. Bynum -should- be a pretty high rated player eventually..Smush has a decent rating of 74 right now...and Farmar is showing he has tons of potential IRL, which should develop over time towards this sim. When you factor that in, with a first round pick and my cap relief, it's a pretty solid deal for me.

Draft picks aren't supposed to make an immediate impact. They develop and become good NBA players. Outside of a few picks every year, players need time to develop. And you say I need to get a clue?

MIL do you even watch the Lakers or just watch stats. Farmer is going to be the starting PG for LAL next year, Fisher's role will soon defer. Bynum is a beast already, the only thing that's stopping him from being dominant is Phil Jackson not giving him playing time. I am a Lakers fan, I watch the Lakers and see how they play every single game, so I know a lot about these guys then anyone else.

I think it should be mentioned at this point the following as well...Shaq's rating is dropping to around an 86 from a 90, Bynum going up to a 73 from a 69, Farmar up to a 67 from a 64, and smush down 2 points to a 72. I hope it's ok to post this here Sonics, but you seem like you want to post all the updated ratings today anyway. Shaq's rating will basically only get worse from this point on in his career, and bynum can only continue to shoot up. This is still a good deal to me, since it's a long thread, I Re-Accept.

Great stats Hawks, Bynum will continue to get better at rebounding, which he's already great at...he will also get better at Blocks, which he's already really good at, and he will continue to improve his scoring, which is decent at this point.

We're talking about a video game not real life.

Not to mention most draft picks aren't expected to make an immediate impact. They should progress over time, much like Bynum is doing now.
