Here's where it gets fun...Magic is close to the salary cap limit, so we will use the 125% rule, plus add in his remaining cap room. If He will still be over, I will pay the difference of Brand's contract for this year.

$9,978,902 X 125% = $12,473,628 + $1,446,569(magic cap room) =$13,920,197

Magic Incoming = $14,248,000 - $13,920,197(Total cap space/125% rule) = $327,803 that the Clippers will pay of Elton Brands salary this season.

I accept because I get young pieces I want to get for Brand and I get the draft picks as well which I love. I am also planning on moving Kaman, which frees up space for Darko, and Rondo is for now a backup PG (i'd prefer to move Cassell sooner or later also so then he will be primary backup pg). Morrison will either take over a spot vacated in Starting lineup by moving maggette or Mobley, or he will be a great backup and 6th man player for now until I can move him to a different team or move the players in front of him.

I will also drop the 2 players necessary to make this deal good, and they will be:

well i literally am giving up my entire future that i had created through my million other trades, but i think its worth it for a STUD superstar like Brand who will complement Nene extremely well in down low. I accept and think that my sacrificing so much youth is worth it for consistent production inside.

Bobcats, I asked Sonics and he said we were allowed to do this...if not in this exact form, maybe we can't do like where we use the 125% rule AND I pay off the extra? If we can't do it that way, I will just pay all the extra of Brand's salary after adding in Magic's cap room...which is somewhere around 3-4 million. i'd prefer to do it as posted though.

By what I know of the 125% rule you have to multiply both the incoming and outgoing salaries of the team that is going over the cap and then subtract them and if the difference is less then 1,250,000 then it works.
