I could take on 31 based on my complete amorality in confrontation, experience at getting beat up, and large (apparently) number of street fights.

Street fight rule primus optimus: Firstest with the mostest wins. Do not announce your intentions. Never threaten, just strike. Any slight misdirection is good. If you are ever confronted by a group of adversaries, go for the biggest one. Try to show some blood, but be sure to incapacitate him/her. Nose, kneecap, instep, collar bone.

I think my number is high because I'm tall, have a long reach, and have no moral objections to using children as projectile weapons.
