We like this as a nice first offer, and we'll obviously just be waiting to hear from a few more teams before any decision is made. Solid offer though, appreciated.

Ok, first off, if no more offers come in throughout today, we will be accepting one of these offers today or early tomorrow. Now, on to how we feel about these two offers right now:
ORL - Your team is set up pretty perfectly for Baron to step in and be the starting PG. With a lineup of Brook/Dirk/Melo/Hill...Baron has guys who can bang down low (Brook and Melo), guys who can shoot (Dirk and Melo a bit), and at least one guy (Hill) who can take a little of the ball-handling responsibilities from time to time. You also have a solid bench forming, and seem to be a much more complete team than LAL right now.
LAL - We realize Kobe and Duncan are two studs, but our problem is, so are Melo and Dirk from ORL. When you get past those pairs of players, ORL's group of Lopez and Hill far outweighs your next two players being Zaza and Dixon...it's not even close. He has a bench full of guys better than your 3rd best player, not to mention his other two starters who are vastly better than anything you have. If you sign Rashard, it would still not be enough to sway Baron to your side, plus in that case, you have stated you will not go after Baron if you sign Shard, so we don't see a way we can not pick ORL over LAL right now.
So again, unless offers come in sometime today, it looks like Baron will be signing with ORL.
Thank you to both sides for the offers, and we'll just wait to see if any offers come in today.

The Atlanta Hawks would like to offer Mr. Davis...
10/11: $10,000,000 11/12: $12,000,000 12/13: $14,000,000 13/14: $15,000,000 14/15: $16,000,000
5 years / $67,000,000
Total Team Salaries w/ Davis: 10/11: $61,458,518 11/12: $35,560,000 12/13: $23,900,000 13/14: $15,000,000 14/15: $16,000,000
Davis would be the starting point for this team for the foreseeable future. The plan was to start Holiday but his age and inexperience are better suited to learn from the bench and what from whatever minutes he can earn. Davis would be playing a lot of minutes alongside the explosive Barbosa and with both of them starting this team would instantly become way more up tempo which should be to Baron's liking. With Marion signing elsewhere, Davis is the Hawks priority this off-season.

While Baron very much appreciates Atlanta's offer, your starting lineup just does not compare to Orlando's. While Nene is good, Brook is as good or better, and younger. Dirk and Melo far outweigh the Barbosa/Landry combo, and overall, Orlando is just a better situation for Baron.
Mr. Baron Davis signs with the Orlando Magic.
