The Charlotte Bobcats would like to offer Mr. Lewis a 5 year deal worth $72,500,000, with a player option on year 3.
Year 1: $12,500,000 Year 2: $13,500,000 Year 3: $14,500,000 Year 4: $15,500,000 Year 5: $16,500,000
Total: $72,500,000
Totals (with Mr. Lewis): Year 09/10: $59,953,500 Year 10/11: $70,000,000 Year 11/12: $54,960,790 Year 12/13: $29,500,000 Year 13/14: $16,500,000
The Charlotte Bobcats have improved "from sweet to elite" this off season, and the addition of Mr. Lewis would make us a title contender. Billups/AI/Mr. Lewis/Milsap/D12 is a starting 5 that is very balanced, can do a lot of different things. We love Mr. Lewis' ability to shoot the ball and create mismatches on the perimeter, as well as post up smaller players. We are offering a lot of money and give you the best chance to win a ring of the teams that have offered so far, we do hope you will consider us.

Initial conclusions from Rashard are as follows:
LAL: We respect that you were the first offer on the table and that can be a risky thing as teams are able to see your offer and then counter with more money. Rashard also likes the fact that you are THE LA Lakers in a major market and would have the opportunity to play alongside superstars Duncan and Kobe. However, the money is now significantly less than the other two suitors and the difference may be enough to sway him away from your team and on to another. Also, Rashard is worried by the extremely short remaining contracts of Kobe and Duncan and he believes that beyond those two, your team has very little worth and may be too little to do damage.
MIN: Your generous offer is obviously the best situation for his wallet. Your team is also prepared for a long and prosperous future with Rose, Smith and Thompson at the helm. However, your team is an extremely small market with a history of poor performance and Rashard would like you to be aware how nervous he is about joining a team that won't net him a ring. Perhaps an upgrade in pay might change his situation and overrule the non-contender factors.
CHA: Rashard, at this moment, likes your offer the best. Comparable money to MIN's top offer and the pre-made lineup looks ready to seriously do damage if he were to join. On the other hand, AI is a huge question mark and beyond this season may not be in the kind of form to return for more prosperous years. He will continue to leave the channels for communication and will accept more/altered offers in the upcoming day or two but would like you to know how much he enjoys your offer. This will be tough to top.

The Celtics would like to make Lewis their top priority in free-agency and offer him a 5 year $80,000,000 contract. It is no secret that we have a high interest in Lewis, and feel an Amare, Durant, and Lewis trio could accomplish big things.
Year 1- $14,500,000 Year 2- $16,500,000 Year 3- $16,000,000 (Player Option) Year 4- $16,500,000 Year 5- $16,500,000 (Player Option)
2009-10- $69,809,661 2010-11- $65,019,870 2011-12- $26,000,000 2012-13- $16,500,000 2013-14- $16,000,000

The Lakers have updated their offer, we added a player option in year 5 of the contract.
As for KB and Duncan, I plan to make sure BOTH of them retire as Lakers along with Mr. Lewis, as I am making arrangements to make sure I have plenty of cap money for now and the future to resign Duncan and KB.

The Houston Rockets would like to offer Rashard Lewis a 5 year deal worth $72,500,000
Year 1: $12,500,000 Year 2: $13,500,000 Year 3: $14,500,000 Year 4: $15,500,000 Year 5: $16,500,000
Salary Numbers: 2009 : $65,180,970 2010 : $46,861,960 2011 : $19,300,000 2012 : $20,300,000 2012 : $16,500,000
The Houston Rockets organization would love for Rashard Lewis to jump on board this team. He will be playing with the best point guard in the league,Chris Paul and beside Caron Butler. Rashard will be the starting small forward for this team. Caron Butler will be used as the 2 guard as the current Dallas Mavericks run him IRL. Rashard's offensive firepower will greatly help this team out. This Rockets organization is on the way up and we hope that Rashard has noticed this. The GM has made this team competitive and we are ready to take it to the next level. We know that with Rashard teaming up with Paul and Butler could be very dangerous. We would love for Rashard to spend the next 5 years of his career next to CP3

Also remember Mr. Agent we still have Rodney Stuckey, even if AI tanks on us Stuckey can step in and give us a good lineup.

Rashard is flattered and shocked at the kind of affection and money being thrown at him currently and would like to narrow down the field to his final three of offers.
#1 - CHA - Money could be better but the team is in place to give Rashard the best shot at a title. #2 - BOS - Best money situation and loves the duo of Amare and Durant...best potential for the future. #3 - LAL - Best duo to play with in Duncan (perennial MVP candidate) and Kobe (top two player in the league)
Rashard would like to thank Minnesota and Houston for their offers but the combination of title contention and money is more enticing from the previously mentioned teams.
As a final leg of this signing process, Rashard would like to hear the top two reasons why he should sign with your team and the best reason NOT to sign with the other two contenders. This decision is extremely difficult and Rashard wants to ensure that he makes the best and most informed decision.

I guess I'll start this.
Rashard Lewis would be the final piece to our roster. With Durant and Amare we have 2 90 caliber players that are in their prime. We would also have the cap flexibility moving forward to keep the core of this team together. In short, we feel we are the most complete roster that offers him the best opportunity to win now and in the later years of the contract.
Charlotte- This team imo still has question marks to them. What will happen with Iverson who is essentially retired in real life? What will he he do with Stuckey? Is he going to re-sign a 35 year old Billups after next season, if not he loses his 2nd highest rated player and starting PG. This team has def. improved, but I still think they have moves to make to finish off the roster.
Lakers- Duncan and Kobe are a fantastic duo, and great job by their GM putting that together. Unfortunately they are no longer young players, and I don't think they would be an ideal long-term team for Rashard.

The Lakers have updated their offer.
The Lakers are offering many things to Rashard.
1. Money 2. Chance to win championship 3. The chance to play for one of most historical franchises in all of sports and retire as a Laker legend. 4. A chance to be a superstar and be one of the more recognizable figures in the NBA.
The Lakers also plan to sign other FA, we have an offer right now for Jason Kidd, and if we cannot sign him then we will go after Mike Bibby.
Charlotte - They have plenty of question marks, will AI play, if he does how effective will he be? Can Stuckey come in and be a reliable player to replace AI if AI were not to play? Paul Millsap can he become a enforcer and a guy that can help Dwight? Is Dwight Howard a leader, is he someone that can win you a championship and keep the team united during bad times? Chauncy Billups is he going to come back after next year?
This team has gotten better since last year, but can they gel together with the cast of players they have on their team.
Boston - Boston has a talented team for now and the future, but I also question can they become a contender? Can Kevin Durant become a superstar such as Lebron or Kobe? Will Amare play defense and share the ball with Durant and Lewis?
Boston's also a team that lacks a strong bench. On top of that can you rely on Durant and Amare in the clutch, Amare has proven to be an unclutch and we have never seen Durant in a big stage game in his career yet.

Even though we already are the highest bid for Lewis, we would like to increase our offer to 5 years and $80,000,000, along with adding an additional player option in year 5. Hopefully this will show Rashard Lewis how committed we are to adding him to the team.

This decision was incredibly difficult for Rashard and he regrets that he has to only choose one team but he has decided to sign with the Boston Celtics for not only monetary reasons but also looking into the future, he would love to be part of a Durant/Amare core. Thanks again to all the teams involved.
