Priority #1
Offering $15,000,000 for 2 years
Year 1: $7,000,000 Year 2: $8,000,000 (Player Option)
Total Team Salary 09/10: $69,203,731 10/11: $40,717,400
The Portland Trailblazers would like to bring Rasheed into our team. With only 2 legit centers on the roster, Rasheed would be the best of the 3 and certainly would start. At Rasheed's age he probably wants another ring and I think our team can compete for one with Calderon/Roy/Maggette/Aldrige and Thaddeus and Beasley of the bench. All that's missing is a center. And if Rasheed likes it here in the pacific northwest he has a player option for the following year with a $1,000,000 raise.

We will obviously be waiting to hear more offers, but we must say, this is a very nice first offer. Many factors play in of course, but as Rasheed's player agent, I recommend not offering too much less money than this if you want him.

If anyone else is interested in Rasheed, we recommend getting an offer in on him sometime today.
Rasheed see's that he would be the starting C on either team, and the money is virtually identical from both teams, with player options in the 2nd year from both teams. Here is how we feel right now about both teams...
POR - Your team has good depth and a better starting lineup than Boston, and speaking of the depth, you have two starting caliber players coming off you bench (Thad and Beasley) who are both as good or better (in ratings) than two of Boston's starters.
BOS - While Amare and Durant are a great duo, past that your team doesn't compare quite as well as Portland. You have Brooks and Outlaw as your next two starters, which is solid, but just doesn't add up to as good of a team as Portland.
Unless a contract changes or a signing happens for Boston, we will probably be going with Portland. I guess we will wait to see how the Rashard situation works out first with Boston, but if Boston does NOT get Shard, we will be going with Portland for sure. If Rashard does sign with Boston, we will reevaluate and go from there.
Let it be known though, that while we may wait longer than this one day to decide between these two teams, we will not accept any more offers after today. So if you want him, make an offer ASAP.

The Detroit Pistons would love to make an offer to rasheed of the Full MLE for 4 years. Year 1-5,000,000 Year 2-5,000,000 Year 3-5,000,000 Year 4-5,000,000
4 years, 20 mil.
We will offer Rasheed the starting center job and he will get lots of minutes, As a result of this we will move Al Horford to the bench. Rasheed almost won a ship' with us 2 years ago and we want to get a ring for him this year. We feel that with a team of Arenas, Allen, Pierce, Randolph, and Rasheed with Horford off the bench we would have the best team in the league with a really good chance of getting a ring.
Thanks, We are excited to here back from you soon.

Rasheed is very interested in the offer Detroit, but he is a bit worried about minutes. While you can put him in at starting C, he is the same rating as the backup at that position, so his minutes may be greatly diminished compared to Portland, where the next best C is rated a 69.
That said...
Portland, if you could offer a 3rd year on the contract, even at 5-6 million range, that would help out quite a bit. Right now Rasheed would be giving up 2 more years of security to sign with Portland, and also possibly a better chance at a title from Detroit, if he were to sign with Portland, so at least 1 year extra on the contract would go a long way.

Horford would backup both PF and C, Rasheed will deff. get lots of playing time and also can mentor Horford.

The Portland Trailblazers have decided not to increase their offer to Mr. Wallace. We realize this may take us out of the running, but we feel we need as much cap flexibility as we can this coming offseason as we try to resign Brandon Roy and LaMarcus Aldridge. Mr. Wallace would certainly help us this year but we have to look not just short but long term as well as adding that third year is the backbreaker. If Mr. Wallace still wants to come to Portland for the initial deal we would gladly welcome him and do everything we can in trying to clear cap space for next offseason.

After looking at everything, this has come down to mainly Playing Time, plus a little bit of a factor of Money.
Philly - You've got 3 starting caliber C/PF's right now, so Rasheed does not see a ton of time in that rotation for him.
Detroit - Similar situation, you've got Horford as Rasheed's "backup" and he's rated the same. Not an ideal situation.
Denver - While we are somewhat interested, we are not happy being the 3rd option for you this FA period, and that is probably the main reason we will not sign with you.
Portland - You offer the most money out of the remaining teams for the first 2 years, and while you don't offer more than 2 years, the playing time and good team around him, with some other factors, all add up to you being the best situation for Rasheed.
Mr. Wallace signs with the Portland Trailblazers.
