We, the Oklahoma City Thunder, would like to offer an extension to our franchise player. Deron Williams means the world to our team and city. Last season, when we acquired Mr. Williams, our team went from being a solid team to an instant contender. We consider him as the best PG in the NBA. We would like to offer a 4 year deal worth 70 million dollars.

Chris Paul just recieved a max offer from Houston this off season. So if you truly value Deron as the top point guard, we would either like to see more money or a player option put into the deal in year 3.

Not the max, but Deron should be very happy with the following contract.
4 years - 74 Million
09/10: $16,000,000 10/11: $18,000,000 11/12: $20,000,000 12/13: $20,000,000
Salary Cap with above contract added in
09/10: $66,297,244 10/11: $45,260,758 11/12: $25,185,474 12/13: $20,000,000
We dont feel it necessary to add a PO, but if thats whats holding this deal up, we could add one.
