I dunno...Clark was drafted in the Lotto, and just hasn't really gotten a chance yet. Boston's pick is 2 drafts away, and will probably be in the 20's or late 20's possibly...so right there it's not even. Then the 2nds, while they're not valued that highly, still do have value. Especially with how we can hold draft rights in this league.
This is another of those deals that really doesn't involve any very important pieces, but it does seem to be far out of balance to me.

Just to explain a little. I didn't want or ask for any of his 2nd rounders. The deal was initially Clark for my 1st. He then came back and said he wanted me to take some of his 2nd's. I told him he would be better off keeping them, and even if he didn't have roster space for them he could at least hold their draft rights. He still said he wanted to include the 2nd's in the deal. I understand you saying Clark was a lottery pick in real life (last pick in the lottery), but he was the 22nd pick in this leagues draft. So even if my pick was in the 20's (which isn't guaranteed) he would be getting a very similar pick back to the one he gave up. Also, the 2nds are in the back half of the 2nd round, so we aren't talking about high 2nd rounders here.

Just don't understand why he wants to give away picks for absolutely free. Heck, I might give him pick 38 for those 3 picks, or maybe 38 and 56 or something...I dunno I'm sure he could get SOMETHING to help his team out, instead of literally giving them away for free.

Probably because they are bad picks, 3 of the final 13 of the draft. You are talking about players who at best are rated 63 and below.

They still have some value. I think I could make some very nice picks, just wouldn't use the guys for a couple years. Again, he is literally giving them away for free, and that just doesn't make sense to me. He could take a shot on 3 foreign guys or something, and chances are, one of them will turn out at least solid...He just increases his shot at making a good pick by keeping the picks.
Again, you've admitted yourself that he's giving the picks away for nothing. You'd be fine with the trade, according to what you've said, if it was just Clark for your pick. You also obviously think those picks have some value, or you wouldn't be arguing to try and keep them in the deal.

Yes I would be fine with the deal being Clark for my 1st. I am not arguing to keep the picks in the deal, I am just explaining to you how the deal happened. Go read my 1st post again. If I truly thought these picks had value, would I have told him to keep them? I don't think so. If Indy agrees to take the picks out of the deal, I would be more than happy to do so, I would actually prefer it that way.

I am not questioning the veracity of your post. I read it and fully remember it. I'm not accusing you of trying to rip him off or anything. I was just saying the trade seemed lopsided. I'd accept if it was just Clark for your pick. With the 3 picks thrown in, it just seems unnecessary.

Ill accept. Those 3 2nd round picks have little to no value. If it was future 2nd rounders it would be a different story.

I think Boston is winning clearly, and don't understand the deal for Indy at all really...didn't he draft Earl Clark just days ago? I don't think this is like franchise crippling or anything, so it's hard for me to reject.
I'm going to wait for Indy to actually say something other than two words in this entire thread.

We drafted Earl Clark knowing he was to be dealt to Boston. We didn't see any players possibly available in the second that those picks would have interest in keeping them. They were left over from the previous administration(Last IND GM). Also to the committee: Maybe this is a good example of why players draft eligible overseas should be draftable here. Alot of prospects overseas worth drafting and holding on to for a few years.

There are overseas guys who are available, but only the ones that were in the real life draft. Victor Claver, Hank Norel, Cristian Eyenga, Chinemelu Elonu...etc. That's why I'm arguing those picks DO have ok value still.
Anyway, at least you finally responded. I'll accept, though it didn't need it.
Update charts ASAP.
