Rumors are circulating throughout the league that Heat guard/forward Danny Granger could be on his way to the Western Conference.
A confirmation from Heat GM Josh Barber was avoided earlier today, when a reported asked the GM about the speculations. Barber is quoted as saying "I have told Danny like I have told all of my players. They should feel comfortable playing in a Heat jersey if they are producing. If they are not producing, or if I receive a great offer, then they could be traded. There are no guarentees. I do what is best for the team."
Other rumors have been flying around basketball offices today, when a southern Florida newspaper reported that the Heat were trading Peja Stojakavic and the 11th pick in the draft to the Los Angeles Lakers for guard Allen Iverson. These rumors were shut down though, when GM Barber stated "We talked about it for a while, but both of the organizations involved didn't feel right about it."
On a follow up from a recent article, it appears that the Heat have already held talks with free agents Jose Calderon, Devin Harris, and Monta Ellis.
