Done Deal?
The Toronto Raptors are in negations with several teams in the NBA about the 7th or 8th pick in the 2007 Rookie draft. Reports are telling us that The Raptors may have found a deal in one of the teams. It's not official but it looks like Toronto Raptors are really close on pulling the trigger which a team. With the source we have we think it’s the Charlotte Bobcats or the Seattle Supersonics. We had a chance to talk to The Raps Gm today about this news that was going around, and he told us
“Yes we are trading the first rounder no matter what. We like this draft class, but I do not like any of the players that might be left. Our deal is indeed with 1 of those 2 teams you have just talked about and I would have to say, I love this deal. It might be a shocker to some, but to others it might not even mean a thing. Toronto isn’t know for being a big basketball city, but I can tell you that our team will be improve”
Some strong words said by the Raptors gm today around noon, but I had to ask a question, who was the player coming back?
”Well it is no K.G or Wade, but it’s a player I think can be a great player when he wants to be. I don’t want to say his name in public as yet, because there might be a few to fiddle with, so I will name 1 player from each which we are trying to get” On the Charlotte Bobcats we would have to say, Ricky Davis”.
”We really like Davis and hope to get him in Toronto. We know he wants to play in Toronto, and we want him in Toronto. Ricky is a great player, but has been on the move a lot. If we do get Ricky he would play the Small Forward role or Shooting Guard Roll”
”On the Seattle Supersonics we want Jason Terry.
We love the way Terry has played, and think he could be MVP some time in his young career. Jason terry had a great season and the Seattle Supersonics really wants a lot for him and so really wants him, so we will try our best to get him. “
With the Toronto Raptors GM saying that the prime candidates for this first rounder are Jason Terry and Ricky Davis, some may have to say, Morris Peterson time in Toronto has come to an end.
