In league sources, the New Orleans Hornets are talking with Hornets point guard Earl Boykins about a deal that may keep Boykins as their main backup to Chris Paul for 2 more years.
Boykins, who was traded along with forward Hedo Turkoglu was traded to the hornets in the middle of the regular season for Ricky Davis and Hilton Armstrong. He averaged a playoff career high 17 points in the playoffs from 8.8 during the regular season
"We like him" the hornets GM told the press. "he is a very strong hearted player and always works hard in practices and we think he is the kind of player who will come in every single night and show that he is worth it"
