The GM of the Clippers is not happy with the makeup of the team, and is looking to move big names such as Cuttino Mobley, Corey Maggette, Sam Cassell, and Chris Kaman.
Also, he says he has fielded many offers for big man Elton Brand, and is closing in on the deals he may take. So far the front-runners include the Supersonics, the Magic, the Milwaukee Bucks, and some preliminary talks with the Lakers that interest the Clippers as well.
Other teams floating offers include the Spurs, but they probably don't have the pieces to do what the Clippers are looking for.
The Clippers' GM also said he is not looking to offer any sort of discount with Brand and Maggette's injuries, because "I'm looking to rebuild this team, so I know I will have to move some big pieces to get the pieces I'd like to get. It doesn't make any sense to give away my two best pieces, being Brand and Maggette, for less than they're worth, simply because they're injured for a couple of weeks." He doesn't seem all that concerned with the playoffs this year, and is looking mainly towards the future of this franchise. He is very interested in younger players who can grow, as well as accumulating draft picks, especially for this upcoming years' draft, but either draft will work.
He means business, so bring your best offer, and don't mess around.
