Actually it isn't stupid to offer it, yes it is a really horrible offer but new GM's have to get a feel for the other GM's in the league. Lets say you weren't the Denver GM and someone who was just a fair weather fan of Melo was, then they most likely would have accepted it and Philly ends up with a steal of a trade.

I agree with Chicago. You wouldn't believe the trades that GMs in other leagues will accept.
