I was wondering this for a while and I know a lot of people always had interesting discussions about this, and I really want to talk about it now that Lebron signed with the CLE Browns.

NBA to NFL
1. Jason Kidd QB (6"4, natural born leader, great height for a QB, also has great awareness and the ability to read defenses and has a cannon for an arm)
2. TJ Ford WR/KR (The fastest player in the NBA can get by as a small slot reciever and a return specialist)
3. Baron Davis LB (Big and quick, along with great leadership abilities make a great MLB)
4. Chauncey Billups RB (Extremely quick, build of a dominant runner, also has the field awareness and patience to read the defense and wait for holes to open up and then explode through)
5. Ron Artest DE (Loves contact, has great speed, and at 6'7 would create a lot of matchup problems)
NFL to NBA
1. Antonio Gates 2. Tony Gonzalez 3. Julius Peppers 4. Donovan McNabb 5. Marcus Pollard

NBA to NFL (no particular order): LeBron - Doesn't matter, he'll play it. Dwight Howard (DE/OLB/FB) - He's beastly, big, strong. Chris Paul (QB) - It would just be fun to watch. He's small, but oh well. Kevin Durant (WR) - Good touch, long rangy, quick. Steve Nash (P/K) - Iunno, he has soccer skills. NFL to NBA: Terrell Owens (SG) Vince Young (PG/SG) Antonio Gates (SG/SF) Julius Peppers (SF/PF) Donovan McNabb (PG/SG)

1. Lebron James WR - He'd be good at OLB or TE, but he'd be so wasted...this guy is a mismatch NIGHTMARE for anyone trying to cover him. 2. Glen Davis OT - HE MIGHT could play DT, but I think he's kind of too pussy. Plus to play basketball you need to be smart, so does an OT. He'd be a GREAT pass blocker at 6'9 and probably could get low enough to run block. 3. Allen Iverson QB - I've heard the stories about him at QB, I think he could get it done and I would love to see it. 4. Shaq OT/TE - I don't know if he can get low enough to run block, but he'd be a hell of a pass blocker at OT and a huge target catching the ball at TE. 5. Ron Artest Athlete - Not sure where he could play, but if I had to pick another guy in the NBA I'd pick him. CLE is right he has that football player mentality...too slight to be a DE and too small to be a MLB...maybe a TE? PS. I think people underestimate how important it is to get low, imo Amare and Dwight would SUCK at DE. Artest is close, but he's a little slight to be a DE and too tall to play MLB. We also don't know how well people can throw a football, me for example I can't throw a football very well but can throw the hell out of a basketball...it's different. NFL to NBA 1. Antonio Gates SG/SF 2. Tony Gonzalez SG/SF 3. Terrell Owens SG/SF 4. Larry Fitzgerald SG/SF 5. Vince Young SG/SF I really have no idea other than if they played in College or like T.O. Though I bet Vince Young would be good...they would all be wingmen/PG's. No one in the NFL is tall enough to play post... from seeing Fitz's play football I think he would be at least decent in b-ball

Antonio Gates played for Kent St.
Julius Peppers for UNC team that went to final 4 in 2000.
Tony Gonzalez played for Cal in the 90's, and went to the sweet 16
We already know that T.O. tried to play for Kings summer league team
McNabb played for Cuse in 96 NCAA tournaments.
one name people haven't thought about is Dwight Freeney, he got that spin move sack thing from basketball where he lettered all 4 years in HS.
