Winner: I love this deal for Boston. AI was not working out for the Celtics as he was taking shots away from Durant and the record the Celtics had with him in the lineup wasn't up to par. On top of getting a replacement guard to fill the void AI left, the Celtics also got 2 pretty large expiring contracts in Gooden and Marshall. Aaron Brooks, a young PG that's on the rise, and the Suns 1st rounder made this deal favorable the Celts. Joe Johnson at PG for a long period of time could hurt the Celtics as he has not played the position much. He has shown he can handle the ball and make good decisions, though. Should be interesting to see.
Loser: Not sure what the Lakers were trying to do with this trade except for maybe he wanted to make a change for the sake of making a change. This trade leaves him with 2 star players that are expiring at the end of the season in Odom and Iverson. It will be hard to keep both. Also, this trade leaves the Lakers without a Center. You might be seeing Turiaf starting at center and the spells trouble for the Lake Show seeing as they have an already small Odom playing PF. The lack of size is going to kill this team. Kobe and AI are going to have to average close to 50 PPG combined for this team to win on a consistent basis.
