Knicks traded Jamal Crawford to the Warriors for Al Harrington. Not sure why GS did it as they already have a ton of SG's. Then the Knicks traded Zach Randolph and Mardy Collins to the Clippers for Tim Thomas & Cuttino Mobley. sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3717209

Damn. Knicks wheeling dealing. Not too sure I like the 1st move for them, but the 2nd one's good. Can't imagine why LAC wants Randolph though.

now if they can trash Eddy Curry then they are all good, wow this could be a huge possibility now Lebron, Bosh, Wade, Amare, Yao, T-Mac etc.
now any of those 3 can be in a NYK uniform now THAT WOULD BE AMAZING.

I can see them potentially getting two of those players (LeBron and Amare) do to wanting to resign some of their bench players (maybe Nate Robinson and David Lee) so they can have some depth. Plus for the next two seasons this team isn't going to do so good so they could end up with two lottery picks which could give them a line up of Ricky Rubio*, Demar DeRozan, LeBron James, Amare Stoudamire, Eddy Curry (unless he gets traded I don't see him opting out of his contract). And to Indy I think theirs a better chance of this happening then you seem to think, in two years Phoenix will be too old and Amare will want out and baring Cleveland pulling off a miracle trade to get someone to keep LeBron happy I don't see him passing up the chance to play with Amare.
(*= I'm not to sure which draft Rubio will be entering as Hoopshype.com has him listed in the 2009 draft but nbadraft.net has him listed entering the 2010 draft)

Isn't Rubio only 18? Pretty sure he can't enter the 09 draft...

Isn't Rubio only 18? Pretty sure he can't enter the 09 draft... Yeah so they'll have to wait to the 2010 to try and get him

If you're talking about the cap space money, then yes. If you're talking about their previous situation, money bought them a load of crap and lazy assholes that give you headaches. They just got rid of it.

As a Knick fan I hate to point this out, but they don't have their 2010 pick. The LAST of the Isiah Thomas horrors. We traded it to Phx when we got Marbury (at that point it was like 7 years away or something) and PHX has since traded it to Utah. So Knicks' 2010 pick is Utah's...GAH.
2009 though, yes we have our pick.
Also, don't be surprised if this team plays decently. I don't think they'll be at or above .500, but don't be surprised if they're close. Duhon is still starting, Chandler and or QRich still starting, Lee probably starting again (double double now hopefully with Randolph gone), put Al Harrington in there with Mobley and it's really not a HUGELY different team than what was out there. From the starting lineup switch Crawford with Mobley (lost the good streaks of crawford, but GAIN a little more consistency and WAY better Defense, plus people treat Mobley like a turd but he's only 31. Not like his career is over lol), and switch Randolph with Harrington (lose rebounding here for sure, but the scoring potential is there to be the same, plus IF we put Lee in the starting lineup he can make up for the rebounding). P.S. QRich pulled down 12 boards tonight so that will be taken care of one way or the other.
I think people are being blinded by the "talent" of ZBO and Crawford though. D'Antoni's system is what got them value (especially Zach...only one team in the league was willing to give anything for him before the season, a 2nd round pick). Harrington will thrive in this system IMO, and Mobley and Tim Thomas should play pretty well in it as well.
Give them a few games to get rotations and the system down a little bit, and I could see them playing better than a lot of people are thinking.
Although I'd just tank if I were them and get the best player they can this year.
