As GM of the Thunder, I accept. Im trying to win it all this year. No real reason to keep draft picks around. In this case LAL's pick is projected top 10, so it was tough to get rid of, but it did bring me back Anthony Parker. Parker will be my 6th man until December 15th and then move into the starting lineup after that date. I have promised Michael Finley a starting job until DEC 15th.

I'd like to here from LAL on why he wants to do this,
Anthony Parker is a solid player and George Hill could really be a big slepper this year playing for SA with Manu out for an extended period of time. LAL has enough talent to at least make the playoffs and I really dont know where that pick will end up and even if it is a 10-15 pick it can get LAL a 67-70ish player. As for Madsen and Sarunas there just scrubs and cap fillers
I will listen to LAL though on why he wants to do this as I trust him with his descion making and GM skills.

Parker is a quality player, but I may be able to not re-sign him in the off-season as Kobe and Vujacic plays SG/SF, also it's not a guareentee that he could come back because with the Shaq trade I have plenty of money to sign other solid quality players at SG/SF or sign big FA next summer. Another reason would be that I would like a big man in return for Parker, but the only way I was gonna do that is by trading him with Wilcox/Gooden for a 82-85 rated PF/C someone like a Camby, Kaman or Chandler, but I doubt that was going to happen. Same for G. Hill, I did not want to trade him, and I think he is a quality player, when I talk to PHI about Gooden-Dalembert trade it was Dalembert and 34th pick for Gooden, then I was hesitant about it, so the trade was amended and I landed with Hill. But also I have AI at PG, and I have Aaron Brooks as well, and I could move Vujacic or Kobe at PG/SG for match-up reasons. Also the way my season is going right now besides one okay game in season opener my team has been struggling badly, my OFFENSE is okay, but MY TEAM SUCKS at DEFENSE and we are getting destroyed in it, right now we are 0-3, at this pace we could go 15-67 or something like that, so then I would be totally dismantled for next season as I'll only have Kobe and whoever I sign next year, as I traded Shaq, 2009 1st rd. pick (could be 1st pick and prolly Blake Griffen or Demar DeRozan.) and AI (PA will be extremely picky with his contract.) So then I'll have to go towards a rebuilding job and trade Kobe of my team, instead of maybe I have a DeRozan with Bynum and possibly CP3, and then trade Kobe for 2 83+ rated players to have a dangerous team next year.

I'll accept, IMO LAL is overpaying for what's not guaranteed to be a lotto pick, it's still early in the season and LAL has one of the best backcourts in the league. Nothing is written in stone yet. However, he does have a glut of guards so it evens out.
