Raptors Get:
F Andrei Kirilenko 83 $15,106,000/$16,452,000/$17,823,000
Total: $15,106,000
Mavs Get:
C Zydrunas Ilgauskas 77 $10,814,615/$11,541,074
F Jamario Moon 70 $938,700/$1,004,200/$1,756,346
G Matt Carroll 67 $2,000,000/$2,000,000
Total: $13,753,315
The Winner: The Raptors GM made a trade with the Jazz that was similar to this one, he traded Kenyon Martin for Big Z and a 2nd round pick. I thought he was nuts when he did it, but this trade makes up for it. He lost basically traded Kenyon Martin, Moon and Carroll (though Carroll is pretty much dead money after this year) for AK47 and Utah's 09 2nd. Moon is a lose but I love Kirilenko and think he is a much better player than Kenyon Martin. He made up for a mistake he made (I mean look at Utah, stacked) but I think he a little better unless Moon hits it big. This now puts Toronto as an elite team in the East, though there window maybe closing if they can not resign Baron Davis after this year.
The Loser: I would have gone with Randolph at center and AK at PF if I was the Mavs, he took a big hit if you ask me. Z is WAY overrated, old, slow, and he can't even jump. This makes his trade with The Hornets earlier in the week look really bad. The Mavs traded Marcus Camby, Michael Redd, Sefolosha, Ridnour, and both his picks in 09 for Manu, Gerald Wallace, Baragani, Gerald Green, and Devean George. Camby is a VERY unique player and it's hard to find D and rebounding guys who can play center like he can. His starting 5 took a huge hit (+3 Manu over Redd and -7 Z for Camby) and what did he really get out of it? He better hope Moon is a star because if you ask me Dallas no longer an elite team in the West.
