we would like to offer Kurt Thomas this:
Offer: $7,200,000 for 5 years
Year 1 = 1,000,000 Year 2 = 1,500,000(PO) Year 3 = 1,500,000 Year 4 = 1,500,000 (PO) Year 5 = 1,700,000 (PO)
Total Salaries
2008/09 = $67,754,560 2009/10 = $37,434,380 2010/11= $21,936,260 2011/12 = $2,000,000 2012/13 = $1,700,000
Kurt Thomas would be our back up C and would probably be our 6th man (so he would get a good Playing Time) . We add some POs in case that Kurt wants to try to get a better deal. He would come to a championship contender and would have a chance at the title for sure

Kurt is still going to be our 6th man as he is still a good big man and would be our back up C too...we are giving him a 10M offer so he can go to a contender and have high chances to win a title this year in a very talented team and we like his experience which is an important factor...we want to say that Thomas is pretty much our 1st priority in this OSFA so far now

Kurt likes the Hawks offer, but he is aging and feels he only has a few more years left. He would like to play for a contender.
If Atlanta can overwhelm us with an offer, we will sign with them. But as it stands right now, Kurt is a heavy lean towards signing with the Nets.

1 year 3 million dollars:
We feel on this team we just need depth and Kurt can be our backup PF and if this year dosnt go well he can go and play one more year if he wants but we plan on contending. We hope he feels he can win here.

The Hawks organization would like to offer Mr. Thomas
Year 1: $4,000,000 Year 2: $4,500,000 Year 3: $5,000,000 Year 4: $5,500,000
Team Salary Year 1: $52,752,909 Team Salary Year 2: $38,778,518 Team Salary Year 3: $28,100,000 Team Salary Year 4: $20,500,000
4 years / 19 million
Again, he will be challenging for the starting power forward spot which no other team is offering. There are some deals being discussed that will even further improve this team and adding a player of Thomas's caliber will only help.

Well, that's the overwhelming offer we were looking for. I will give NJ a chance to counter offer. If no offer is made by the nets, he will be a Hawk.

If money is what matters now here we cant give more as we are almost over the cap... So it seems that he is joining the Hawks and we hope that his last years turn into good years in that nice young team...
