I accept, of course. The Knicks will now have the exciting backcourt duo of Dwayne Wade and Monta Ellis. Every team got what they were hoping for in the trade, and it was a pleasure doing business with HOU and SAS.

I accept. I lose a young great center in Andrew Bogut, and great centers are tough to find. I also lose an up and coming international player in Luis Scola and a solid young guard in Delonte West. I also give up 2 first rounders next year, one of which is SAS own.... which will be a lottery pick. I do receive a good young backup pg and Iggy, who will become the scorer that this team has been missing the last few seasons.
NY received what they wanted and the Spurs get lots of youth as well as valuable trade bait for their rebuiliding.
It was nice doing business with NYK and SAS. Good luck with the season

I accept this deal, you may question my motives but a tough young front court is something that you can build a franchise around and Scola/Bogut is something that could be good. I also get my pick back and since i'm a rebuilding franchise that pick is VERY key.

Monta and Iggy could get much more, and when i say much i mean it!
SA is giving up two great young players, and getting back mostly unproven talent except for bogut
bogut and scola are good players and thats about it, while west, green, and rush our all bench players, and the picks are nice but not even close enough to sway my opinion
i reject

IDK about this one. I'd like to hear why SAS is trading Monta and Iggy, 2 young studs, for unproven talent (And Bogut). I realize that he is in rebuild mode, but its not like hes trading OLD stars. Iggy and Monta are up and coming in their own rights. Yes their salaries are up there now, and yes one of them had probably walked if he weren't involved in a sign and trade, but I feel Iggy and Monta could fetch much more. Maybe its just me.

ill help out on this one....
The spurs have said that they are in rebuild mode. For this rebuilding effort they receive 3 first round draft picks. One of those picks (SAS first) will be lottery. All teams must rebuild through the draft. From this draft they receive two good prospects in Rush and Arthur.
SAS also receives the PROVEN talent of bogut, scola, west, and green. Jeff Green- starting SF for the OKC Thunder. Averaged 11 pts and 5 rebs per game. He is only 22 years old. Delonte West- started at SG for the Cavs. Averaged a little over 8pts and 4 asts per game. Luis Scola is a very good player who averaged 10.3 pts and 6.4 rebs in the regular season and almost a double double in the playoffs last year.
So essentially for 2 guys, rated 82 and 86 (Iggy got a ratings decline......) he gets literally a whole starting lineup full of young talented guys along with 3 first rounders in next years draft.
With his two young star lineup, he wasnt winning anything... and like OKC said, one of them was likely to walk if it wasnt for this sign and trade. Its a win/win situation here for every team involved. Everyone gets what they want
Also, through contract extensions, these players want to be traded to their new teams with their new contracts... This trade is in the best interest of all teams/players invovled

I mean I really dont like this trade for SAS and really think he could find more value somewhere else my descion is going to stay the same

for the record, bogut is 10 months older than iggy.
If my knowledge of sims is correct, front court players are very hard to obtain, and similarly rated frontcourt players are worth more than their backcourt counterparts. I mean Bogut is a 23 year old post who averages 14 pts, 10 rebs, 2 blocks. He is rated a 79 in sims. Scola is an international guy who just burst on the scene last year with the Rox and did well in the Olympics. Averaged a double double in the playoffs last year. Jeff Green is also a stud for OKC
All of these players and rookies have the potential to go up. You say iggy and monta are that great and are worth more, but iggy got a ratings DECLINE last ratings period..... just look at it from each teams angle.

Iggy alone, IMO, could pull in about what SAS recieves. I reject, but the TO's of Green and Farmar might want to be added...

this is comedy right here bro.... iggy alone pulls all that, are you serious?
Does anyone remember the wade trade that the TC passed?
Wade for Bynum, Bell, and 2 rookies.... How is this any different except for the fact that the spurs get more? There is no consistency here
wade (93) pulled a 78 center, 75 sg, 65 C, and two rookies rated 74 and 72... you telling me that iggy pulls more than that?
Iggy (86) for 79 center, 74 SG, and two picks(one will be lottery)....... Monta (82) for 75 pf, 74 sg, 2 rookies and a picks

yeah, TC's reasoning is ridiculous. First, the extensions are agreed for everybody upon the premise of being traded to their prospective teams.
In exchange for Ellis and Iggy, SAS is receiving one of the better young centers in game (Bogut), two 1st Team All-Rookies (Green & Scola), a solid veteran combo guard in West, two 1st rounders in Rush and Arthur, and 3 future 1st round picks...and that's not enough!?! (See Wade trade & numerous other accepted trades...)
SEA says "one of them {Iggy or Ellis} would have probably walked if he weren't in a sign and trade." So TC is screwing SAS by not allowing him to trade away players and get more than enough in return (when one of his FA would have left) if this trade is not accepted

I will say that this is close enough to accept. I think Houston and New York are ultimately winning this trade. But to be honest, I do agree that this situation is VERY similar to that wade trade. and I think that SA is at least getting some good extremely young talent and some potentially high 1st rounders in 2009 for them. if this is where SA wants to go then fine. I, on the other hand, also agree that SA could have gotten more win-now pieces for the two. But not THAT terrible of a trade.
i accept

While I personally like Bynum more than Bogut, maybe considerably more...(meaning that 79 C vs the 78 C is really a bigger story to me than just the ratings...) overall this trade is OK. I agree pretty much with what ORL is saying. I think HOU and NY win in the deal, and SAS is taking a chance, but I've done it myself and he is getting a lot of young players and pieces.
I'll accept.

If you guys want to know why I did this trade?
I'm not going to be able to resign one of them, and explain what offers I got that were better for both of them.
This is the BEST offer I got. I got shitty offers of Grant Hill. I'm sorry that those offers were terrible and I chose to go with this deal where I'm in instant rebuild mode. I have my eyes on a certain USC stud and want to go with him in the upcoming draft to be the center piece behind this organization. You also forgot to look at the cap space I'm saving to go out and get a Devin Harris to compete here. With a few pieces my team is set for the future. I'm sorry that this deal doesn't meet all of your brilliant standards of trades but in my opinion this deal is passable. I've been in sims a long time, never rebuilt once. This time I decided to take over a team that was in CAP HELL and had two young players who were free agents. I looked at that, realized i had to deal some of the cap hell and found a deal that I thought would be beneficial to my organization considering a center of Bogut's caliber is hard to find. If you don't like it, look at what else i've got on my team. I'm rebuilding like the Nets did in Rim Rockers. You'll see when I have the first pick what I've been doing all along. You can say oh you're going to quit, but I'm not the type of guy to do that. Ask Charlotte or Philly, I'm in this for the long run and I'm willing to put up with a few bad seasons to get back into the hunt.

Actually, if I'm allowed to, I'd like to change my vote, BECAUSE SAS would lose Iggy and Ellis for nothing if he doesn't trade them at this point. And, well, getting some guys back are better than nothing.
