Amir thinks he would be buried on your bench and would like to seek other opportunities to see if he can get a lot more playing time.
Amir is done in Detroit

We really dont want to see Amir go, we believe he could be a key part of our team next year,we wold love to give him the starting role at SF and we will move Carney to SG, At SF Amir should get a lot more time behind an aging Grant Hill, Also when he isnt playing SF he will get some minutes behind Jason Maxiell and Brook Lopez.

We want to show that we will do anything to get Amir. And to show that to you we have updated our offer which gives Amir 2 million dollars more. Also as stated earlier he WILL be the backup SF and play behind Grant Hill which should be some great minutes seeing that Hill's knees are getting bad and he isnt the player he once was, and that dosent me he wont be playing PF either, he will still get time there also.

He doesnt want to play SF. His rating goes down by 3 whole points at that position (just checked in NBA Live). He wants to make his own name as a PF. Only way he can do that is to leave Detroit. Im sorry, but our decision is final.
