My client and I feel like if there was 1 player in the NBA worth max money, it was Dwight. His age, upside, and drive to be the best is uncanny. We would like 4 years 80 million. Nothing less.

We know dwight is one of the best players in the game, but we still need to focus on singing Amir Johnson, who could potentially be startin with Dwight in the future. We would be happy to give Dwight 20 mil in the 3rd year and 19.5 next year making it...
Year 1:$18,500,000 Year 2:$19,500,000 Year 3:$20,000,000 Year 4:$20,000,000
08/09-$68,850,994 09/10-$54,333,333 10/11-$34,444,445 11/12-$20,000,000

Sorry. My client has told me he wants MAX money....And my client is a 90 rated player while your comparison player is only an 84.
He knows he can get MAX money from about 6 teams, and that max is 5 years-100 million, but hes willing to take the hometown discount (20 million less) for a chance at a title.
The offer is off the table in 24 hours.

altough we are wondering if it would be possible for dwight to take 19,500,000 in the 1st year just to lets us have some cash to go after amir johnson, so dwight would be getting 79.5 million, if not no biggy

Your love for Amir Johnson should not cloud your judgment when offering one of the best players in the game. Its not even about the extra $500,000. Its about the principle of wanting MAX money and being a MAX player.

We understand that, We just want to have a good core around dwight, because sheed, billups, and hill are all getting older, but due to our love for Dwight we will offically take the deal for Max, 4 years 80 mil.
Nice doing buisness with you
