The Charlotte Bobcats would like to offer Antonio McDyess a 3 year deal worth $17,900,000.
Year 1: $5,300,000 Year 2: $6,300,000 Year 3: $7,300,000(PO)
Bobcats Cap Afterwards: Year 1: $381,870 Year 2: $19,050,430 Total Year 3: $36,441,960 *I don't know the cap figure of this year but clearly I am under it.*
We feel like with Dyess we can make the playoffs with him as our are center. Ford/Crawford/Butler/CV31/ is a nice combo and also very young. Dyess would be a leader and the only toughness we really have. He need not worry about Webber, he's only there because we have to have his bad salary. Dyess is older so Thompson will come off the bench and learn the ropes from him while give him relief. This contract is very favorable for a 34ish bigman and gives him security for the next 3 years.

Antonio would like to have the 3rd year a player option. He's nearing the end of his career and would like to be able to decide if he can commit fully to his contract. He would be glad to return to Charlotte and compete, while mentoring the young guys.
