Ben Gordon (81) / Current Salary: $4,881,669
Offering: $40,000,000 over 4 years Year 1: $9,500,000 Year 2: $9,500,000 Year 3: $10,000,000 Year 4: $11,000,000
Total Team Salary: 08/09: $59,453,660 09/10: $61,353,236 10/11: $34,195,221 11/12: $10,750,000
The Wolves would like Gordon to be their franchise player. We are looking in to getting a better point guard to play with Ben and possibly better talent up front. Ben will be the starter and will get lots of minutes. We also have a bunch of 1st Round picks for next years draft so lots of young talent will be coming next year.

Both Ben and myself feel that if you wish to make him your franchise player, then he should be paid more. We are not asking for tons of money, but Ben just came off of his rookie contract and would definately like to make a few more million per year. We like that you are committed to resigning Ben though, and that you are looking for a PG to accomodate him. Ben loves the playtime and the touches you can offer him.
Please post a counter offer and we will get back with you.

Counter Offer: $50,000,000 over 4 years, with a player option the 3rd season
Year 1: $11,000,000 Year 2: $12,000,000 Year 3: [blue]$13,000,000[/blue] Year 4: $14,000,000
The player option is just to ensure that your team is on the right track, and that my client is still getting his minutes and touches. Ben is very excited to finally get a big pay day after playing on his rookie contract for what seems like an eternity. We also like the fact that you let it be known that Ben is your #1 priority. We hope you accept this counter offer!
