I accept, it's pretty obvious why we both do this trade. This will keep D12 in Detroit for now and I add a nice young PG in Ford that I couldn't have gotten on the FA market more than likely (who wants to be a Bobcat right now?) I know I'm probably the most hated GM in the league right for letting Detroit keep D12 BUT what good did it do me? I wasn't going to get D12 so I took Ford, a player I really like. I took a cap hit and gave up some picks but I def. think it's worth it. Some people were questioning whither I have the cap space, well i'll show you my Excel spreadsheet since I'm not suppose to edit yet. I believe that $13,724,492+$500,000=$13,784,492$13,784,492-$13,746,000=$38,492So by a little under $40,000 K's, D12 stays in Detroit. Pleasure doing Business with you Detroit and best of luck next year.

actually Cha your math is a little bit wrong.....
$13,724,492 + $500,000 = $14,224,492
$14,224,492 - $13,746,000 = $478,492

my cap figure is/was $13,284,492, you can either add that and subtract by total amount gained (from DET) or subtract it from DET's salaries and then subtract it by mine, either way it comes how I said and it works.

well my first thought on this trade is I would really like for DET to at least get, i dunno, a pretty good bench player (for his team) back in the deal? Right now this is an 80 (paid reasonably well) for a 68, 68 rook, 64 rook, and probably a 64 or lower rook...plus Battie's fairly bad contract. I know for a fact the Charlotte GM thinks he's getting a steal...and really he is. I have to decide on it still because I know Detroit is doing this only because he wants to sign Dwight. Which is fine. I just have to personally decide if this is an acceptable deal (obviously I know Detroit's motive for doing it...just gotta see if it's still in the realm of acceptability). For the record, I will not be voting based on my desire for D12. Thank you Cleveland P.S. I'm basically slightly leaning Accept because I know this is for D12 and that's the only reason...but it wouldn't take much reasoning to push me either way...stay tuned!

If this is denied it's like cutting Detroit's nuts off, no one with the cap space is going to give him the cap space he needs. Everyone knows D12 will become a FA and everyone wants him.

As true as that would be, I wouldn't reject in order to cut his nuts off! haha I would reject if I don't think the deal is ok.

I'll accept
No brainer for Detroit as he gets cap space to re-sign D12. Charlotte, although taking on a lot of cap gets a talented PG who can play his system.

Chill, I don't think it's necessary to have 3 posts in the thread telling CM's to vote. When people do that, it makes me want to vote for the trade less. And the 16th pick is still awhile's away.

Basically Detroit has to do this deal because of poor cap management basically. He has to make an absolutely terrible deal because he didn't plan correctly previously. If I accept I'd feel like I'm encouraging people to not think about next year at all and the can just make a terrible trade for their team to clear out cap. Then again, maybe it's punishment to have to make a terrible trade?

I don't like the deal at all, obviously...kinda hate it, but
I'll accept. Just wish people would plan ahead a bit more and not put themselves in a situation to have to move a really good player for basically nothing other than Cap Space, which they need because they screwed up before....
Tisk Tisk.
