The New Head Honcho in Charlotte isn't very happy with the offers for Paul Pierce. " I have found a few that work, but it's not really my style" GM Boen said after 2 days of trade talks. "No one wants to deal a player better than Pierce, maybe it's lack of us having really much else but it's a little saddening to me." In the perfect world Boen would like to have a Lebron James, Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh, Amare Stoudemire, Pau Gasol or even a GM favorite Yao Ming to call his own. None of those teams want to give them up for Pierce, but there have been a few offers for Pierce which involve lower "Starr" Type players such as Richard Jefferson, Caron Butler, and Al Jefferson. "None of these are bad players, just not guys you build a team around." Boen said "They are going to have to set up fast (if they come here) or this will never work."
Pierce likes the idea of going to Utah or Orlando but wasn't ruling Cleveland out either. "I would love to play with guys like Deron and Amare or Shawn, Tyson, and Jason but if I have to team up with Brand it's not the end of the world." Pierce said smiling. He also said "Mr. Boen has been nice to me through this process, he wants to see my do well and I really appreciate that." We will see where Pierce ends up, but unless a huge offer comes along it looks like Orlando, Utah, and Cleveland are the front runners for Paul Pierce.
