Bobcats Owner: As everyone knows after a disappointing season last year, The Bobcats have been looking for a new GM, we are pleased to announce that we have found our man. His name is Charles Boen and he is probably best known as the Miami Heat GM in the rimrocker league. He turned the Heat around from a lottery team (without there 1st that year, just like us) to the best record in that league (currently.) Mr. Boen knows what it takes to win and will bring a new culture to the Bobcats and bring us some glory! I'll now turn the mike over to Mr. Boen, I'm sure he has lots to say.
Charles Boen: Well it's great to be back in Charlotte. Before I get started I'd like to thank Seattle for giving me the chance to be a GM in this league. I can tell a good league when I see one and this looks to be a very good one. I know I would never want anyone in rimrocker to hear this but you can't beat the Kitty Kat fans. I've been GM of the Kats in 4 different leagues so I know all about it haha. Anyways a lot of you know me and I'm looking forward to this job.
I have to be honest, this team is a mess, a lot worse than the Miami team I took over in Rim. Though it is nothing we can't fix with a little hard work. We are now in a rebuilding mode and looking at the roster right now have some older players that probably need to move on and go elsewhere. I just released my trade block and among those we would like to trade are Paul Pierce and Kenyon Martin. I would personally like to thank them for everything they have done for the Charlotte Bobcats in the past and I wish them luck on hopefully a contender. I've talked to both of them and they understand, and actually they want out. That will be my main focus as GM is to trade them for the time being. We will be looking for youth for them, so send in your offers every team! I'll open the floor for questions, anyone can ask anything!

Question: will Mike James be your starting PG? if not who are u looking at in the FA or trade wise?

Any chance Paul Pierce heads to Philly to form the big 3 of KG, Agent 0 and PP?

Question: will Mike James be your starting PG? if not who are u looking at in the FA or trade wise? We are looking to get younger at every position but Mike James has an expiring contract so he may start this year if a decent young PG can't be found. I can't name names, that's against NBA rules  but in the perfect world we start 5 young guys. Nothing against Mike just we need to get a young core together. |

Any chance Paul Pierce heads to Philly to form the big 3 of KG, Agent 0 and PP? Not for the stuff you've been sending! It is possible but I want good young players back. |

I don't think so, but I really like Amare! Didn't see part 2, look at Detroit's post for the answer. Do you expect to make the playoffs this year and make a run or are you going to try to go into rebuilding mode? I'm "rebuilding" but I don't rebulid like a typical GM (ask the people in rim.) I don't like picks and stuff that, I do but not for a Paul Pierce type player. Maybe for Kmart or Dyess but I want a legit young star for Pierce. Rating needs to be 80+ and if I could get something else with a nice young 80+ star i'd be happy! Putting expectations on a young team is bad, we are keeping our pick for now and we'll just see how they play. I look around though at some of the teams in the East, we are going to have a hard time competing. Are you having a fire sale on PP? Yes everyone send your best offers! But at the same time I don't want 40 1st's for Pierce, I want some good young talent that is good right now. Ill take Paul...#4 pick and nelson interest you at all?! Almost none what so ever, if it was a top 3 pick then maybe but after Mayo, Beasley, and Rose the draft really drops off. |
