Center:

If you need scoring, than Randolph is your guy in this case, but with Big Ben Wallace on him, it might be hard for Z-Bo to get into double-digits. Randolph can be a go-to guy on offense, but he's also a guy the 4 time defensive player of the year (IRL) can shut down. The points advantage goes to Randolph here, but Wallace hardly needs to score to lead his team to victory. Also watch Wallace dominate Randolph on the boards if there's one sign Randolph is slacking off.
Advantage: Ben Wallace
Power Forward:

You can't go wrong with the defending Legends M.V.P. here. He brings everything you would want in a starting PF, from defense to offense. Dirk does bring range, but Duncan still has a jumper, and can easily destroy Nowitzki on the post. Duncan not only puts up M.V.P. type numbers, but also defensive player of the year numbers.
Advantage: Tim Duncan
Small Forward:
vs.
Parker has the 3-pt shooting bonus, but the other Wallace on the Hornets' squad is also a defensive sleeper. He's an athletic beast that has long arms to make it tough for anyone to score. Anthony can give you some numbers, but Gerald Wallace will be tough for him to handle.
Advantage: Gerald Wallace
Front Court:
Dallas is all offense, no one to stop Duncan. Ben Wallace might even get to double-digits. Dirk isn't a player that can guard big men, and don't even get me started about Z-Bo. Parker and Wallace doesn't get Dallas killed, but Dallas still lacks offense.
Shooting Guard:
vs.
Pretty evenly matched duo. Both good 3-pt shooters, great superstar SG's matching up against one another. The numbers shouldn't be far off in terms of stats in this series, but Hamilton might get the edge due to more touchs. Whoever gets the more oppurtunities will do more for their team, nothing complicated.
Advantage: Richard Hamilton
Point Guard:
vs.
It's going to be hard for the aging Jason Kidd to keep up with the best young PG in the game. Subtract one year, and Kidd gets the call, but not this time. Kidd gets better sim stats, but I'm calling for CP3 to step up his game in the big times.
Advantage: Chris Paul
Backcourt:
The backcourt of Paul and Ginobili take the cake here. Hamilton and Kidd might be able to put up a fight, but overall, the Hornets are just too good.
Bench:
Turkoglu would be a starter on most squads, but being on the bench of the Hornets just make their sting even deadlier (clever, huh?). While Dallas has Chilldress and Marshall, NOH has vets that want that title again.
Advantage: Hornets
Series Prediction: Hornets in 4
Get out your brooms, the defending champs aren't about to lose any momentum in the initial round, after dominating in the regular season.
Series MVP:
Duncan will just dominate the Mavs' front lines, it won't be pretty.
FUN FACT: HE PUNCHED TEAMMATE RUBEN PATTERSON IN THE FACE DURING A PRACTICE SCUFFLE IN 20003 (WIKIPEDIA). AND I DON'T LIKE HIM.
