When it comes to making a team what's your philosophy. Like do u like a big man, a slashed, etc.
Me personally i like to assemble my team from the inside out. Start over with a dominant big man and then build out. Starting with a decent pg, and shooters to fill out the starting five.

I had Deron, so I built around him. Started off shaking up my roster a bit, then I just waited for any good offers to come my way. Now I have Amare and Deron as my building blocks. I had Gibson come in to be a shooter outside with Deron's driving and kicking, and Amare pounding inside and kicking, but obviously he didn't work out too well. I have Big Z as another big man next to Amare to not have Amare have to play his off-position as a center. Got a pretty good bench, from scorers to rebounders.
If only my team can play better.

I like to build a team around good solid defense. Defense wins championships. Camby and AK-47 both top notch defenders.

i want to build a team wit fire-power offence, like now, DIRK as my leader producing crazy numbers around scorers like corey, rip, starbury, anthony p, desmond, george and azubuike
only lacks defence in the frontcourt, but our C diop does good in his job

when it comes to building a team i go with getting the positions that is usually the most important, the C and PG positions
its good to have a Great inside presence that can dominate the paint but what good will it do for the team if they dont have somebody to set them up for open looks to make them even more dominant so a good PG is also important. when i get those two positions filled then i can have have anyone at the other positions as long as i have depth on my team
so basically i focus on the C and PG spot and the bench.

Building a team for me is a big time role playing game. Each player must fill their spot for my teams to be successful. My center needs to be defensive/rebounding oriented, my PF must be dominant and fully capable of holding with the overflowing amount of great PFs in this league, my SF must be a do-it-all kind of a player who can drop 30 one game but turn around and grab 10 boards, 5 steals and 5 blocks the next, my SG is my scoring focus and MUST be deadly from behind the arc to space out the defenses and finally the PG has to be a pass first guy that can control the many personalities and skill sets on the court.
And i would say I am almost there!

i like to have a very youthful team whichs sticks together, and like to move veterans in and out, but my inabilty to shift oldER players have pushed my younger players production backward

I always try to find a good C, and Okur is great in sim leagues, then I try to get a good guard...dont have a great one yet but a decent one...then I just start looking for young fowards and some old players to have some experience, and old players are good in sim leagues...

Certainly believe that I deserve serious consideration for GM of the year...considering my record from last year, compared to this year, in addition to the DRASTIC turnaround in player ratings considering what I started with. But in a perfect world I would have a better PG. I am incredibly happy with the rest of my team, who will only improve heading into the playoffs and next season. But Jameer isn't the kind of star, pass-first PG that I wish I could have. Which is why this draft will be so important to me. If I get lucky that Bulls pick will be a high lottery and potentially get me the 1st/2nd spot for Rose!!

I like to get a solid starting 5 right off the bat, even if that means trading young players and picks away. I like to mix in a couple of vetrans with a couple of young guns in my startin 5, and off the bench i like to have good 3 point shooters and primarly defensive speacilist. I would say im 55% D 45% O
