man I was about to post this too.
Man the TWINS ARE GETTING RAPED.
the Yankees and the Red Sox offers were WAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY BETTER.
They are getting a okay guy in Gomez (not even best prospect Martinez is better and Millidge whom they traded to Nats is better then Gomez)
Philip Humber who literally sucks, and 2 guys that I never heard off.
the Yankees had a better offer with Hughes, Cabrera, and Horne or Marquez.
EVEN IF THEY DECLINE THAT, they could have gone with Austin Jackson, Ian Kennedy, Melky Cabrera, and Dellin Betences.
you got 2 stud prospects (Betences and Jackson) and 2 Major League ready studs in Cabrera and Kennedy.
Red Sox with Lester or Ellsbury, Crisp, Lowrie is still better, heck all they needed to do was ask Criag Hansen and the Redsox might have accepted the trade.

Haha, that's horrible for the Twins, now if only the M's can do something like that for Bedard...

Don't see how the O's can nix this deal. Angelos isn't sane but he should ok it.
Bedard King Felix Washburn Silva Colon/Lohse (I hope they sign one of these two FA pitchers)
and hopefully they will have Phillipe Aumont in the top 3 of the rotation next year...can't wait

Bedard won't be traded for nothing but Santana would have been traded earlier for better prospects but the Red Sox wouldn't give up both Ellsbury and Lester. Also, the Yankees and Red Sox don't NEED Santana as much as a team like the Mets do. It will solidify their rotation and make them really hard to beat. If Pedro can come back and be 80% of what he once was you might as well hand them the division.
Santana Maine Pedro Perez Pelfrey/Hernandez
That would be formidable.

I mean they needed an infielder (mainly 2B) and they could get that with Lowrie
they need a pitcher they could have gotten that with Lester or Masterson
and if they needed a CF they could have gotten Ellsbury OR Crisp.

The one with the winning record is 12-10 or so. The only thing that would make the trade even close to balanced is if Carlos Gomez pans out as solid OF.

One of the pitchers in the trade has starter potential but that is about it. Gomez could turn into a good OF and some scouts think he might be faster than Reyes. He could tear up the turf and have 40-50 SB's a year. That would be worth it.

Now with Bedard as the only star pitcher on the market, the O's are probably going to push the Mariners for every penny they can get for Bedard. Personally, if the deal right now doesn't work, leave it there and quit offering. Or the M's could always pull something like the Mets did and wait.

The O's won't get a better offer. A future #1 or #2 starting pitcher and a future Griffey/Bonds in Adam Jones. I'd say it is too much to offer but starting pitching has been a huge need for the M's since their record winning season.
