As the trading deadline approaches there are teams vying for playoff spot as well as fighting for lottery.
We have already seen 2 BLOCKBUSTER moves occur with Shaquille O'Neal going to PHX for Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks and the Lakers trading KWAAAAAAAAMMMEEEEEEE Brown, Javaris Crittenton, 2 1st rd. picks, and the rights to Aaron Mckie and Marc Gasol to the Grizzlies for Pau Gasol.
These 2 moves should clearly make both teams a POTENTIAL LOCK FOR A TITLE THIS YEAR.
So what should the rest of the field do, I'll give you 5 deals that should NOT ONLY HAPPEN BUT help CONTENDERS AND TEAMS FOR THE LOTTERY.

Cavs send: Drew Gooden, Eric Snow, Daniel Gibson, 08 1st rd.
SAC send: Mike Bibby, Beno Udrith
Why would Cavs do it: It's obvious Lebron wants and needs some help with his team being streaky and seeing Nash and Kobe get all-star teammates, with this trade he gets a PG that should not only distribute the ball but can score anytime, and also the Cavs need to take advantage and the momentum they still have from last year's finals, if they don't take ADVANTAGE this year, they might never have a chance to win one with Lebron again, as he may bail out for NY or join his homey Jay-Z in Brooklyn. They lose Gibson and they should not, but Bibby is worth someone taking risk on and they get a nice replacement for Gibson in Beno Udrih whose experience with the Spurs should help the Cavs.
Why should SAC do it: They get a pick and a young nice prospect in Gibson, they get a real PF in Gooden as well as Eric Snow and his future expiring contract, and the Kings would want a LOT of that as this team is not going anywhere and needs to RE-BUILD fo the future.

ATL send: Tyron Lue, Josh Childress, Lorenzen Wright
PHI send: Andre Miller
Why should ATL do it: This is their time to rise, with the Eastern Conference looking venerable with the Celtics struggling, and Lebron bickering about Kidd, and Pistons playing average basketball this is the perfect opportunity to become a DARK HORSE favorites from the Eastern Conference, we ALL know that ATL has lacked a PG for years since Jason Terry, with this move ATL should not only have a solid PG, but a player that can probably help them sneak and win the title this year. Now people may ask why is Childress in the deal, well with Smith locking up the SF for good, he might bail out on Hawks and REFUSE to RESIGN WITH THE HAWKS, this would be the perfect time to move him and use him as a trade bait.
Why should PHI do it: They want younger players and more cap space for the future, this might be a move that can land them Brand, Marion, or Arenas, or someone of that NATURE in the future, and not only that they get a good stud young player in Childress, and they have a backup if Iggy were to bolt after next year.

DEN sends: Eduardo Najara, JR Smith, and 08 1st rd.
SAC sends: Ron Artest
Why should DEN do it: They need to win now, and as crazy as Artest is, they may have to take this gamble to win it all, with Gasol and Shaq in the West, the West has reached a WHOLE ANOTHER LEVEL, so with this move the Nuggets can not only stop guys like Kobe because of Artest and his defense but he also increases the entire team‘s defense and he elevates everyone‘s game by bringing emotion to it.
Why should SAC do it: They need to get something FOR Artest before he bails on them with JR Smith they get a nice replacement SF, a 1st rd. pick, and a nice expiring contract, they could of gotten more, but it's time if they don't get a lot of value for Artest and Bibby, they should try and get some of it.

MIA sends: Shawn Marion (GSW)
GSW sends: Al Harrington (NYK), Micheal Pietrus (NYK), Brandan Wright or Patrick O'Bryant (NYK)
Why should GSW do it: if they want to keep Baron Davis happy, and take advantage of the rest of the West to win a title now, this is the time to make this move, Marion would PERFECTLY fit into their uptempo system, with him this team should be much better and a REAL title contender then with Harrington, they also get rid of Pietrus and O'Bryant/Wright with one demanding long term contract and a starting job, and trading away one of the two bigs who is not FITTING Nellie's system and they are struggling and getting on Nellie's nerves.
Why should NYK do it: Isiah is not going to get JO or Artest, as those moves would cost him more then he would want it to be. But right now Q is frustrated with the Knicks and becoming a malcontent, and it's obvious Curry cannot play with Randolph, but trading Randolph would be a mistake as he is more valuable to the Knicks and much harder to trade then Curry. With this move they get rid of 2 malcontent and add Harrington and Pietrus who should PERFECTLY fit in both Forward spots being good multi dimensional players who can play good offense and defense, and get a nice big in Wright or O'Bryant who is probably a better back-up for RANDOLPH then Jerome James.
Why should MIA do it: Why should MIA do this, it would not make sense, it would make perfect sense because 1. Marion is a FA, and if he picks up the option your stuck with him for a year. 2. If he opts out you get no value, and you don't know if Arenas or any of the other guys are available. 3. If you draft Beasley or Batum there is no point on keeping Marion being the worst team in the league. With this move the Heat gets a true shooter and defender in Q, and a nice replacement at Center for Shaq in Curry, even though he is a liability on Defense, his Offense should lessen Wade's burdens, and if Miami can land Derrick Rose next year watch out PG Rose, SG Wade, SF Quentin Richardson PF Haslem C Curry SHOULD be a formidable team next year, and a team that could CONTEND in the LOUSY Easten Conference

NJ sends: Jason Kidd (DAL)
DAL sends: Devin Harris (POR), Jerry Stackhouse (POR), DeSagana Diop (POR), and Trenton Hassell (POR) and 1st rd. pick
POR sends: Jarrett Jack (Nets), Martell Webster (Nets), Raef LaFrentz (Nets), Josh McRoberts (Nets) and 1st rd. pick pick
Why should Nets do it: IT'S TIME TO RE-BUILD this TRIO EXPERIMENT HAS FAILED, and you have an unhappy player on the team. It's time to CASH in on a deal such as this, with this move you get Jack and Webster, McRoberts who along with RJ, Krystic, and S. Williams should provide a nice future for the Nets as they move to Brooklyn, and they have a future expiring contract in Raef, as well as a pick. So what do the Nets have to lose. THIS COULD ALSO BE THE OPENING THEY NEED TO GET RID OF THE VINCE CARTER.
Why should the Mavs do it: THIS IS IT, if the Mavs does not make this deal, they will NOT and I MEAN NOT WIN THE TITLE SOON, this is a opportunity the Mavs should take, even if Harris is a budding star, you don't get a player like Kidd everyday, and you don't have Dirk, Howard, Kidd, and Terry combinations either, so it's EITHER TAKE IT OR FAIL IT type move for the Mavs. But will Cuban have enough guts to do it.
Why should the Trail Blazers do it: This move gives them a true PG who is gonna be a star in Harris, a veteran prescense in Stackhouse, a expiring contract in Diop, a pick, and a nice replacement for Webster and the not used Miles. This should help the Trail Blazers get better with their youth movements, and potentially championchip contention next year with Harris, Roy, Stack, Aldridge, Oden, Fyre, pick, and the other young guys.
