Don't say it like that. Say Kobe is Shaq(Batman)'s Robin. Sounds cooler. lol that's a good one Yep, got it from sport radio guys comparing Roy(Robin) to Aldridge or Oden(I forget). With this season though, I doubt you can say Roy is the 2nd guy to anyone.

That's why I hate Kobe nut riders. They can't see past the titles won WITH Shaq. Kobe hasn't even been to a Western Finals without Shaq and yet LeBron gets to the Finals with Larry Hughes as his sidekick. Please, there is no comparison. Kobe may be the best player but he isn't the best team player. He doesn't get the most out of his teammates and only started trying to make his teammates better this year b/c he'd exhausted every other option. You switch Kobe and LeBron and the Cavs barely make the playoffs (7 or 8) in the East and that is only b/c the East is so thin in talented teams. The Lakers would easily make the playoffs in the West with Odom and Bynum. They could have a chance to win it all.
Odom is way better than Hughes. It isn't even close. Oh, and name me ONE player in the last 25 years that took his team to the finals without a Pippen or Shaq type of player playing beside him.

Reggie had Smits (good big man especially in the perpetually center depleted NBA) and Rose (arguably best player on team) and Dale Davis Ewing had a lot of other good players around him, Starks is one and he also had Mason, Oakley, Davis, Anthony, and Harper...not one of them is a "great" player but he had a great team around him Come on, Hakeem? Really? We all know Kenny Smith was a stud Drexler, Maxwell, Horry, Cassell, Ellie, Murray, is a pretty good team all around Iverson on the other hand is a special case, he did have Bell, Hill, Kukoc, McKie, Snow, Ratliff, and Deke...again he had a lot of other players around him and fit well, outside of Deke none were great but played well together

I'll change what I said. Name me one player that carried his team to the Finals like Bron did. All the "help" he got he created. Gibson doesn't get those looks if LeBron isn't getting the ball to him. The only other player on his team that didn't need Bron to get him his looks is Gooden but Gooden is a very inconsistent player and can have a good game and disappear for a game to two and Hughes wasn't anywhere near the player he can be.
