Good: Portland Trail Blazers, NO Blazer fan, and I mean NONE, could've predicted this. 9 wins, count 'em, 9, with more than half coming off playoff appearances. Ahead of Utah?? Possibly division leader??
Bad: Utah/Chicago/Miami, what's up with the Jazz? Trade rumors seem to have hurt the Bulls. The Heat look bad with Shaq being old, possibly just blowing it up.

surprise bad: chicago bulls, you can stick a fork in miami, but chicago was predicted to be like top 3 east. surprise good: portland obviously, but what about washington without arenas?

Yeah, the Wizards winning makes you think if they are willing to shell out 15 mil a year to Arenas

Bulls have talent but hey have no consistent inside presence to take over a game when the outside shooting isn't there. You get these type of streaks with jump shooting teams.

I agree with all of that besides Miami being a surprise bad team, personally it became evident that they lost a step last year in the playoffs. I think Chicago should try and work out a Noah for Hawes type of deal.(and then apologize for not drafting him in the first place)

here are my surprise good teams
1. Portland Trail Blazers 2. Atlanta Hawks 3. New Orleans Hornets
Surprise bad teams
1. Miami Heat 2. Chicago Bulls (what the hell is wrong with them in Nov. and Dec. they always start out slow) 3. Houston Rockets (with the addition of Scola and the return of James this team should be much better.)
