Compliments of the Portland Trail Blazers GM
The following are the power rankings for this month:
1. Phoenix Suns (10-3): 1 of the better teams in the league by far, watch them fight it out on the playoffs this year.
2. Detroit Pistons (10-4): As solid as ever, the Pistons will be a contender again this year.
3. Dallas Mavericks (9-4): A solid team in the west, they’ve have a few blowout wins this season, watch them to play well.
4. Golden State Warriors (9-5): Solid team after trading half a team, watch Pierce to step it up.
5. New Orleans Hornets (9-5): For a team who won’t really have that much chemistry now because of so many changes are playing well, they will definitely push it up a notch soon.
6. Los Angeles Clippers (8-3): Going well for a team with internal troubles, solid play so far for them.
7. Denver Nuggets (7-4): Solid start to the season, they will continue moving up.
8. Houston Rockets (8-5): The surprising team in my eyes, without a McGrady type player on their team now they are going well.
9. Toronto Raptors (8-5): The Raptors have had a solid start to the season, consistent play is the answer, they can only get stronger from here.
10. Minnesota Timberwolves (7-4): Going pretty well for a team who doesn’t have the best roster around, Garnett is playing consistent as usual.
11. Sacramento Kings (7-5): Another solid team, the big 3 of Artest Bibby and Martin should step it up to give them the edge in their division.
12. Miami Heat (7-6): They just traded Shaq, let’s see how they will fair without him, and I think the Heat can only get better from here.
13. Cleveland Cavaliers (7-7): Cavs, playing well with a team without that much talent on it, a few changes should make them jump.
14. Orlando Magic (7-7): Howard is playing well for them; they just need everyone else to step up a notch.
15. New Jersey Nets (6-5): The Nets are going well considering a few questionable trades they have, a few more changes should make them jump in the rankings.
16. Indiana Pacers (6-7): The Pacers are fairing along well for the team they have, just not enough in the rankings, get moving!
17. Philadelphia 76ers (6-7): The Sixers are going well considering their roster; a few changes are needed for them to jump up.
18. Boston Celtics (6-7): The Celtics have made many moves lately, but give them a bit more time to gel and they should make a jump in the rankings.
19. Chicago Bulls (6-7): Probably the most disappointing team in the league now with the talent they have got, but im sure once they’re chemistry jumps, their ranking will jump as well.
20. Los Angeles Lakers (5-7): They can’t do much without a bench; they need some changes to get this organization running in the right direction.
21. Utah Jazz (6-8): Poor, from my standards they should be doing better, but then again they are still a young team and it’s the beginning of the season.
22. San Antonio Spurs (5-8): Disappointing to, after trading Duncan I think this club is ready to re-build.
23. Memphis Grizzlies (5-8): After the Gasol trade they are sliding a bit, they need to step it up.
24. Washington Wizards (5-8): Poor form from the Wizards, at the beginning of the season they were a team to watch, but its still early day we will see how they go.
25. Milwaukee Bucks (5-8): A slow start to the season so far but I think they will make a bit of a jump soon.
26. Portland Trail Blazers (5-9): A few recent big trades, especially Lewis, a slow start to the season but they should get it going soon.
27. Atlanta Hawks (4-7): A young team in transition watch them to make some noise in the next 10-20 games.
28. Charlotte Bobcats (4-9): Another young team who are just out there to get some experience, they shouldn’t do much this season but I think they will have a lot of high’s this season.
29. New York Knicks (5-10): The Knicks are the worst team in the Atlantic, and that won’t say much for their team, they need to start moving to move up.
30. Seattle SuperSonics (2-12): What can you say about the Sonics? They are the worst team in the league so far, but their luck hasn’t given them anything to cheer about either.
