Daniel "Boobie" Gibson is one of the SG in the league on the rise, but Utah's GM has stated that if Boobie doesn't put up better numbers, he won't hesitate to trade Gibson. Gibson has had up and down games for the Jazz, which has to be more consistent if he wants to stay. In his most recent outing, Boobie had 14 points, 8 assists, 5 rebounds, going 5-14 from the field. He shot 2-5 from the charity stripe though, which doesn't at all go well with Utah's front office and coaching staff. That though, was one of his better games, with the previous game having a statline of 5 points on 3-7 shooting, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block. All in all, Gibson had better step up his game, or he might no longer be a Jazz.
Utah head coach Jerry Sloan on Gibson: "We love how he's playing, but he needs to work harder, he doesn't go 110% during practice, he usually fools off and distracts other players."
Utah PG Deron Williams on Gibson: "He's a great personality to be around, but he doesn't bring the work ethic our team needs to compete to win."
Utah PF/C Amare Stoudemire on Gibson: "Great kid, I'd hate to see him leave the organization, but he's gotta work on getting better. He takes his shot for granted and doesn't do enough to make it better."
Teams that have expressed intrest in Gibson: Nets, 76ers, Kings.
