Power Rankings will be posted every sim week. Every sim month i will give an anylast of all 30 teams with rankings. These are the rankings from my prospective.
.-(17-4)Phoenix has been tearing apart the compition. Leading the way is MVP canidate Steve Nash whos putting up some solid stats averagin 24ppg and 7apg. With the likes of Lebron James, Vince Carter, and Antwan Jamison surronding Nash this team will be pushing for a #1 seed come playoff time.
.-(16-3)The Magic have have been playing outstanding ball the past couple of weeks. As of now they are on a 9 game winning streak. After recent trades the team now looks set with Nelson, Terry, Deng, Marion, and Chandler starting. Not to mention they have one of the deepest benches in the league with M.Williams, Stackhouse, and Stevenson. This team should keep tearing apart the weak southeast divison.
.-(15-5)Well the defending champs have started the season off very nicely. Now on a 6 game winning streak the hornets will look to improve the streak. Big man Tim Duncan is leading the team in points, rebounds, and blocks. If as the team stays healthy look for Duncan, CP3, and the rest of the hornets to make a push to go back-to-back
.-(14-6)Yao Ming has been the leader of this fiesty buck squad. You could expect Ming to put up 20ppg and 7rpg but whats really suprising everyone around the league is his passing ability. Dishing around 5 assist every night hes 2nd to the bucks point guard Jason Kidd whos getting around 6 apg with 13 ppg.
.-(12-6)The defending eastern confrence champs have started out with 12 wins in there first 18 games. Leading the way has been Rasheed Wallace who is averaging 25 ppg and 10 rpg. Along side him C Dwight Howard is also putting up a double-double. The backcourt has also established themselves as Billups, Gordon, and small forward Jason Richardson have been great contributers. Look for Det to battle with Orl and Mil for the top spot in the east.
.-(12-7)The nets are finally getting healthy again. After suffering injuries to Devin Harris and Rip Hamilton to start the season the team wasnt playing to their full potenital. Now with those 2 back Josh Howard, David West, and Mehmet Okur should have this team up to par. As of today NJ is in 1st place in the Atlantic Divison.
.-(12-9)Dallas has played 2nd fiddle to the Hornets in the Southwest Divison, but still has one of the best records in the west. They wouldnt have the record they have though if it werent for Dirk Nowitzki. Dirk has carried this team on his shoulders not only on the stat sheet but on the overall scoreboard. Ray Allen and Stephon Marbuary have been playing fairly well also. The only problem with the starters is at C with Diop. It will be intresting to see how the team fairs come playoff time.
.-(11-8)Seattle recently made a move that shocked alot of people. He sent rookie stud Greg Oden to Denver for Marcus Camby. This bold move showed that the sonics franchise is looking to win now. This team will have its hands full though in a very good Northwest Divison. The starting 5 is now looking all set, but rumors have it that sea is looking to package away AK-47 and Chris Wilcox. Stay tuned for any other big trades coming out of Washington.
.-(13-9)Earlier this season GS made a bold move sending budding star Monta Ellis to SA for fillers. The key of the deal was making SA take Adonal Foyle and his huge contract. It will be intresting to see how this plays out in a couple of years. The Warriors are still playing very strong though. Led by there star Baron Davis this team has been playing well and there record shows. The team also features Paul Pierce and Al Harrington. This team is one player away from becoming an elite team.
.-(11-8)Memphis plays small ball and it works. This team has flurished so far with there young lineup. There leader Joe Johnson apperently has been placed on the trading block though. That means that Pau Gasol, Raymond Felton, and Rudy Gay will have to step it up. Also the Grizzlies GM has made it clear that he does not want to trade Felton or Gasol but is willing to listen to offers for Rudy Gay and the rest of the team. Also Memphis is trying out a new lineup with Nenad Kristic starting at C instead of Swift.
