As the season has come to an end, we sit here and think of the teams that are in the play-offs.
It seems in modern NBA, the starting 5 is who wins the games for the team, or the 1 superstart or two.
Today ill be showing a few potential "X-Factors" of the playoffs who if make an impact, should guide there team to success.
Our 1st X-factor is with the Denver Nuggets:
Jameer Nelson
Season Stats : 14.3 PPG 5.4 APG
Watch for Jameer to upgrade his stats slightly, as all the focus will be on Howard, Anthony and Martin, Nelson should be able to step up and atleast make an effort to show that their team can be a threat.
Watch for him to up his stats to about 18PPG 8APG and you never know, they may just make it thought
Luol Deng
Season Stats : 15.6PPG 5.9RPG 2.2APG
All I can say is, whoever catches Chicago on their good day will be in trouble.
Deng is the key in guiding Chicago to the victory.
All the focus is on Ray Allen and Ben Gordon, so the teams will be focused on keeping them in check while they forget about Luol, if he can produce, Chicago may be able to make some noise.
Expect him to up his stats to about 20PPG and 7RPG, it may be asking for too much from this young man, but he is certainly capaable.
Monta Ellis
Season Stats : 13.6PPG 4.0RPG 5.4APG
On a team where you have Al Harrington, Paul Pierce and Baron Davis, Ellis really needs to step it up a notch and make himself be known around the NBA scene again as he has had a lower scoring season that expected, with the guidance of Davis and Pierce, Ellis will be the key in helping the Warriors get over that slight edge, if Pierce or Davis is in defensive lockdown watch Ellis to hit about 17PPG 5RPG 5APG.
These x-factors are one of many players who can turn a teams playoff hopes around, stay tuned, tune in, watch the play-offs because its going to be an intruiging one.
Stay tuned for more articles.
