Neither Ariza or Odom should be back in LA.

Neither Ariza or Odom should be back in LA. Ariza yes Odom no Why not, Odom LIKES LA, he said he would TAKE a hometown discount to stay in LA. I don't blame Ariza for taking the money he earned it. BUT ODOM is still gonna stay in LA, BOOK IT.

Odom has said he wants around 10 mil a season. LA is over the cap right now, I don't see Odom giving them that big of a hometown discount. I think the only way he comes back to LA is on a 1 year deal, that way he can go to free-agency in 2010 when teams will have money to spend.

Cleveland HAS to get Hedo or Odom to be even talent wise with LA, Kobe MAY be the 3rd best player on that team. f**k Boston's big 3, Artest, Gasol, and Kobe is SICK.

Question DET, is this how you felt when Ben Wallace signed with the Bulls? It hurts so bad to be used for a year, Kings raped us

I also don't really understand what the big deal is. I know Artest is a big name, so as a fan you get excited when your team adds a big name, but what does he add to the team that wasn't there last year. When the Lakers were healthy they had a SF rotation of Ariza and Odom, with Odom also playing some back-up PF. I think it is safe to say Ariza is gone, Odom is still questionable. Would he rather come off the bench for cheaper money on a championship caliber team, or make more money and start for someone else? My point is depending how the rest of the off-season plays out, they could have gone from Ariza/Odom to Artest/Walton.

No Cleveland, how am I retarded?
And Boston, if Odom comes back it will put Bynum on the bench where he belongs...if he doesn't they go from Ariza/Odom/Gasol to Artest/Gasol/Bynum.

You are straight ignorant if you believe Pau Gasol and Ron Artest are better than Kobe Bryant.

If they put Bynum on the bench, who plays center, and please don't say Gasol. He is one the softest PF in the game, centers might snap him like a toothpick.

Gasol is not a starting center in the NBA. Can he do it in small stratches, sure, but not for 82 games plus the playoffs.

McDyess might be interested in coming to the Lakers if Odom leaves, yeah it's a downgrade BIG TIME but I can live with a guy like McDyess if Odom leaves.

I am not saying the Lakers aren't the favorites to win it all. In my mind they have to be, they won last year, and Kobe is still there. I just don't think that signing Artest is that big of a deal, the Lakers had 2 good SF's last year. On a side note, I am very interested to see how the chemistry on that team works out.

Totally agree, They just won the championship and now they are potentially losing Ariza AND Odom for Artest? Now don't get me wrong I think he is a very skilled player but how will he fit in on LAL, Him and Kobe had trouble last year during the playoffs and the guy can go off any second. Arizia was a great upcoming player that could of helped this team win for years, he is young and very skilled, Artest on the other hand is gaining age. Bad move by the Lakers IMO.

And I'll miss Ariza but honestly he's another James Posey in a way, a thinner more athletic version of James Posey.
