Utah is going to play LA tough, you LA homers can say what you want but Utah is a tough team. I think having Bynum is a none factor unless Okur isn't healthy...Okur will get him off the floor quick with his range. Boozer vs. Odom or Gasol is a favorable match up, AK does a VERY good job of guarding the other teams best wing. Lakers have no answers for Kobe, I could see it going to 7...hell I could see Utah winning. IS that why Gasol and Odom abused Utah last year big time in the playoffs and constantly put his ass in foul trouble. cause I know Utah didn't do anything to stop us last year. Did they have Boozer? Okur will have a hard time with Gasol, but Boozer will have his way with Odom or Gasol...Bynum isn't going to do shit against Utah book it.

I see it like this Williams>>Fisher Brewer<<Kobe AK=Arizia Boozer=Gasol Okur=Bynum Bench's are even This series will deff. be a good one, plus you gotta remember that Utah is a very hard place to win. There crowd is probally 2nd or 3rd behind Clev. and Por.

I don't think Ariza=AK...I know 2 years ago when Utah played Houston in the 1st round he did DANG good job on T-mac. He may not score much, but that guy can play some D.

I don't get all the love for Portland...what have they proven? I guess we'll find out but I'm not on the band wagon yet.

Fisher is better than Brewer, and Kobe is better than Deron. I would also give the slight advantage to the LA bench. This coming from a person who despises the Lakers.

I don't think Fisher is very good, never have. Brewere is at least athletic and can defend.

My picks. Lakers Nuggets Spurs Blazers
Cavs Bulls Magic Hawks
Blazers upset somebody in the 2nd round then.
I'm banking on a Cavs-Blazers finals.

Okay what I said was right, Blazers have 3 offensive players and only one showed up to tonight. I mean hell the refs even let Oden play football at the end, just ducking his shoulder on Mutombo <33 (who is a bad ass, no one appreciates him!) Blake and that Joel dude are a joke, I think they ought play Bayless he at least has potential.

Blake is no joke. He just didn't come to play last night. The entire Blazers roster didn't.
If they were smart they'd start Oden.
Pry sucks. Let the young man learn on the fly.
That being said.. the playoffs are a struggle, one game means practically nothing. If they lose game 2 though, it's over.

If they lose game 2 though, it's over. you can't really say that about Blake, if you hold guys like Kobe, Lebron, Gasol, Wade, Ray Allen, Brandon Roy, and Aldridge accountable for struggling in a game, you also have to acknowledge Blake doing bad too. actually they can still lose game 2 and win the series, it's game 3 if they lose they are DONE. (Heat did it in 06, Lakers in 04.)

Until someone gets 4 wins anything can happen, but I think if Portland loses game 2 it's gonna be hard on them psychologically. I think Houston is better and am sticking with them winning in 6 (maybe 5) but if Portland loses game 2 I think we should start getting the brooms out. I don't get why most young teams who first make the playoffs are "inexperienced" yet Portland has "young legs." No matter who they played I was expecting them to lose, like they said they are just happy to be here. They are still a piece away, if they get a high caliber veteran PG (maybe Baron Davis?) and Oden stays healthy I could see them making a run next year.

Bold Prediction: Jazz steal game 1 on the road! I think you are gonna be wrong on that Okur isn't playing and AK didn't start (though I think I saw him on the bench.) It's not even close, kinda sucks.

wow were me and houston really the only ones to take the mavs out of the first round?
come on guys... you all look at matchups for portland/houston so much, why didnt you for this one?
terry/barea can guard parker kidd guards mason howard guards finley dampier guards duncan dirk guards bonner
works out almost too perfectly for mavericks...
