JC was right again, maybe people will start listening now. 1. JC was never right on A-Rod, only reason he picked A-Rod was because he HATES A-ROD and that's it, even a blind squirrel will get one right, JC just picked the guy he hates. 2. I don't think people will start listening to him or anyone else, all the fans of baseball already made up their mind that after the Bonds and Clemens fiasco they won't be surprised if they find out anymore roiders from 1985-2009.

So much for him being a good replacement HR king.

Anyone from that era who had those 55+ home run seasons (Sosa, McGwire, Bonds, Canseco, Rodriguez, and i wouldn't be suprised if Griffey took them too) took steroids. Theres no way around it. Probably over half the league was on some type of performance enhancing drug during the late nineties to the late 00's time period.
This makes the legend of Babe Ruth that much more special. Hank Aaron wasn't a home run hitter per-se, he was just a solid player that had good HR seasons over a long period of time. He was consistent. The power hitter in Ruth's mold i don't think will ever come along again. Ryan Howard will never even get there. The guy was just that special.
Whats interesting and sad to read about though is the jealousy and paranoia that feuled Bonds and probably Rodriguez as well. Bonds was already on the path to a hall of fame career before he got big. I read the book about him and he was extremely jealous of McGwire and Sosa selling out parks and getting all the attention during their home run chase. Rodriguez we all know is paranoid and "obsessed" with Jeter, so it isnt surprising that he did everything possible to get ahead.
