Okay well I just found out I had a Peturding Disk in my back, and I was going to try to play football but not now. Now I'm gonna stay with my parents and go to college, it kind of sucks but I'm going to have a lot of free time.
I was thinking people use to do football sim leagues, and I talked to the Spurs about it (we did a few together way back when) and he wasn't sure if we would have enough interest. I just want to know from you, if I made a football sim would yall join? There a lot more players so it takes more time, but I really am kinda bored right now. Just let me know what you guys think, I would like to do it.
I would obviously have to buy Madden something on computer, I figure 09? Does anyone have an experience using it on computer? I'm pretty sure you would need vista (which I have.) Just give me any in put you guys can.

Do you have the simming program? Every sim football league I have joined has died out after 4 or 5 weeks of simming. Just too much work for the simmer and like you mentioned, a lot of players. 53 man roster is nuts.
However, I would be interested.

I don't, but I would be willing to buy it....I wouldn't even have to be the head guy (though I don't see how hard it could be) I just really miss football sims. I agree with you though, I've only been in a few good ones. I do think we have a good group of GM's, and you know I'm on all the time so we could do the Legends approach (one guy (me) do most of the admin/simming) or the Rim approach (specialized jobs.)

Every league ive been in used some other program to sim, the name escapes me as of right now...As for Madden, sounds logical, just haven't seen anyone use it on a PC for a sim league.
BTW, im moving this to the "other sports" board

BTW, im moving this to the "other sports" board PS. sorry I had it in the wrong spot Mogul 08? Yeah you can get it online for like 5 bucks, Spurs used Madden like 06 , but another sim I was in used Mogul like 06. I'd be more than willing to buy it, it's a pretty good game I know it gives you like a player, for example Brady Quinn 80/91 80 is his rating now, and 91 is his potential. The game does all that for you so there wouldn't be any "in real life stuff" like in basketball. I'm gonna try to find the link to the one I was in, (I had a kick ass team haha) but I've never ran my own sim I think it would fun.

Mogul's pretty good. I have it for Baseball for 08. Pretty solid.

That's 7, I'm pretty both LA's will do so we have about 10. I figured every GM that wasn't Foreign would want to do it (and I'm really not opposed to Foreign GM being in it, if they want to learn...we could give them a crappy team and let them learn a year.) I think there plenty of interest (I knew a few guys that prefer football over b-ball, so we could get them.) As far as the game, TB found one of the guys we use to do sims with and he has Mogul 09. He had to go to bed but I'm going to talk to him, and maybe he can help me run it if I have problems and be in the league, he's a pretty good GM. Anyways I downloaded the demo (it was tough as hell to find, but I found it on this website for $20 buck if anyone wants it.) www.sportsmogul.com/games/football2k9.htmlI liked it quiet a bit, the ratings (for the most part) was pretty accurate though they are very bias. Don't ask me how Eli is a 81 and Romo an 88/90 but that's how it is. I did a season with the Cowboys (besides the fact I traded Romo) and the ratings changed quiet a bit. I guess it has to do with how you perform, and let me give you an example. I traded Romo and Felix to the Vikings for Travais Jackson and Adrian Peterson. I then moved Barber to FB and had a super backfield and ran 70% of the time. I made it to the NFC Championship game and lost to Seattle, after the season Peterson went from a 91/92 to an 85/86. My theory is I used him too much during the season and it took a ware and tear on him. So it's like production in NBA Live, if you put people in a position to make plays they will. If the chemistry doesn't work they will dud, so it's gonna take some judgement. Anyways I think it's a pretty good game, very realistic...you set the O/D(4-3/3-4)/KR-PR-R-K and you can do the playbook, but I didn't understand it. I think we should just run the team picks playbook or another teams playbook. I'll play with the Demo so more, I'll take a team like Atlanta (they suck on the game) and see what Matt Ryan does (64/87.)

If we did this could we do a fantasy draft? yes I know thats 52 rounds, but we could do like 25(11 starters on O and D, a K, P, and KR man) of them and have the computer sim the rest of the picks. That way when I got the Lions I wouldn't be stuck with just Calvin Johnson ;D
Id be pumped to do this if we can though!

No fantasy draft lol, pick a different team if you don't want to suck right away. I acutally want a crappy team, I might take Houston or Detroit. I think we have enough interest, I think we have 11 here (I'm still convinced LAL and LAC will be in it) and I know a few guys that will probably join, so that's about half. When my mom gets home I'll get her to order for me (pay her back, I don't have a credit card) and we'll try this. I'm gonna keep playing with the demo and getting better with it.
