The Memphis Grizzlies would like to offer Alonzo Mourning a 3 year deal worth $10,000,000
Year 1: $2,502,787 Year 2: $3,248,607 (Team Option) Year 3: $4,248,606 (Player Option)
TEAM SALARY Year 1: $69,999,999 Year 2: $32,094,000 Year 3: $18,823,000
We would like Alonzo to come back as the 6th man, and the best backup center in the league. We feel that he can offer us two solid more years, and has an player option for the 3rd year in case his 38 year old knees give out on him.

Well, as much as my client liked Memphis he would like to take his services elsewhere. He feels he can still start for a few more years as a defensive lock down type guy and would like the chance at starting and if he does get that job, he will get starter money.
And judging by your cap space situation the money is just not there.
