I could of posted this on Basketball one, but I wanna STRICTLY leave it at Basketball and nothing else.
So I was wondering which draft do you guys prefer to watch.
In terms of excitement and mystery I'd say the NFL, but IN TERMS of importance the NBA, because the NBA draft has more weight on the team drafting on the players then the NFL.
If you screw up like the Wizards did with Kwame or Clippers did with Candiman, it's gonna take a while to come back.
On the other hand your 1st rd. could suck, but your 2nd rd. could be a stud.
here are 2 GOOD examples
In 2003 the Cardinals drafted Bryant Johnson as their 1st rd. pick, but he was a bust and now in San Fran ON THE OTHER HAND
they also selected Anquan Boldin in rd. 2 and he turns out to be a Pro Bowler.
In 2005 the 49ers selected Alex Smith 1st overall and now he looks like he is out of San Fran, but in rd. 3 with the 1st pick, they selected a guy named Frank Gore and he is now a pro bowl caliber RB (EVEN though he still has fumbling problems.)
Here's another one
in Rd. 1 of 02 draft the Broncos selected Ashley Lelie, in rd. 2 they
selected a fellow by the name of CLINTON PORTIS.
So if your a NFL fan and a average Joe the NFL Draft would be more interesting and appealing.
ON THE OTHER HAND, the NBA draft is also for average Joe
But in DIEHARD sports fan terms this is the draft to watch because it has more importance with the team that selects these players or trade them.
Heck the Warriors traded J-Rich for Brandan Wright, it's a nice move as Hindsight is 20/20, but now with Nellie pissing of Baron Davis he might leave at the end of season terminating his contract.
so they would prolly put Ellis at PG and but Belinelli at SG.
Imagine if they had J-Rich and Nellie still BENCHED Davis, Nellie could have thrown B-Diddy and they would have suffered BUT
would not have turned back to the Old Warriors (the one that sucks, WHICH we might see again.)
