If you ask most players in the NBA what they want the most, the majority of the answers would be that they want to win. Following closely behind would probably be that they want to start for their team. That description fits Utah PG Derek Fisher very nicely. Fisher, off the bench, is scoring 7.8 PPG for the Jazz (19-3), as well as 1.6 APG and 1.2 RPG. Fisher leads a Utah bench that includes rookie Joe Alexander, Nick Young, and Channing Frye. Fisher, 34, may be considered overpaid by some at almost 7mil/year, is valued greatly by the Jazz GM. When asked about Fisher's importance, the GM said, "He's won 3 NBA titles. He gives us experience and leadership that no one else on the team has. Our goal as a team is to win championships, Derek will help us accomplish that. LeBron and Amare are the stars, but they are still rather young."
